They stopped making secret/Ghost/Ultimate rares that had a real colletible value. They stopped making Tins, Special editions.
They just see yugioh as a pachinko equivalent, using starlight rares and reprints set as the main money engine.
Sometimes I wish someone would buy Yugioh rights.

My personal favorite is the Black Rose Dragon ghost rare. I actually paused when I saw this card for the first time. Thank you for sharing this amazing collection, and the history as well!
I pulled one in First Ed With my grandfather its my favorite Card in the Game . Does it make sense to grade it ? Its unplayed but a German Card

high quality video as always. I think that konami took the ideas of ghost rare from the harry potter game made by wizards of the coast and/or by another marvel collectible card games which i do not remember the name
It’s funny you mentioned this because I’m going through my card collection since I got new binders and moving all the Pokémon and Yugioh cards and I came across a Draco Malfoy card I found that looks exactly like the Ghost Cards. I think your right they took inspiration at least from the Harry Potter set

The actual ghost from the past are gorgeous. To actually hold a vintage ghost in my hand opposed to modern is night and day. Unfortunately I only have rainbow neos but its gorgeous 😍

Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, Dark Magician, DMG, Stardust Dragon & Black Rose Dragon are probably the best looking Ghost Rares of all time imo.
& the Red Dragon Archfiend Ghost Rare variants are pretty badass too
Black Rose you can literally see the 3D Dragon separate from the background and the rose pedals in the foreground. It's alive!
Those are some of my favorite ones as well. But try to get the japanese ones they look so much better

OCG ghosts are much cheaper.

Amazing video. I loved seeing the beautiful HD close ups of those Ghosties. I also agree with you about them diluting Modern Ghost Rare cards like Ghost from the Past 1 & 2. Some of those are going for very low prices
5ds was the time where i hunted ghost rares the most, traded some in high school until i got 6 in total but sold them last year, now im missing them a bit after seeing your collection ^^

for english sets, star eater in jotl through malacoda in sece the ghosts aren't cover cards as well as red eyes flare in core. for japan all the cover cards minus ptdn are ghosts until series 11 with rotd where they changed the ghost rare look and are no longer the cover cards either.
Gosh old school ghosts look so much better than any modern ghost. GFTP and other sets that contain “new” ghosts to me as a collector was such a disappointment.
Ghost Rare Dark Magician looked really good though.
@@eroonwiiu5093 They're just to one dimensional for me, the art doesn't have the same depth as older ghost rare cards. They almost have a 3D effect to them (older ghosts), and they also are glossier which just give them a better less matte look imo.
Cap, GTFP 2 has some beautiful cards

Tbh I love rainbow dragon, but I own a ghost fuck strictly is right it’s easily the worst looking ghost from the original. Shame because if it looked as good as the 5ds ghost it would easily be top 3 ghost to me and I could justify the gem price lol

I guess that there are so much out there because LODT had been opened so much back in the day, that a lot of Honests were pulled. The set is pretty rare now, and so not much is opened anymore. But that's just a theory, there may be contradicting data.
Where do you get the giant card posters? I know they gave out giant cards as prizes, but I just want a poster of one

My only ghost is Majestic Red Dragon, traded for it at nationals years ago, still one of the main highlights of my binder. That and I'm poor xD
I'm always at a crossroads with ghost rares. They're my least favorite rarity as a raw collector because I just don't think they look good in a binder. But as a collector, I can't ignore them either

ghost rare are VERY difficult to find without scratches...even the PSA 10 graded ones develop scratches over time.....do you think its worth having the stardust dragon unlimited version...konmai now makes me nervous as they reprint every set....in 5 years i bet it will reach the 5d reprinting era...

Saw an offer for 5 random ghost rares in NM condition for 8€ from 5 years ago on trollandtoad and cried.
Now get ALL the ghost rares :)
I would collect them but they are just too difficult to get/ expensive, I think I'll limit myself to the ghosts from the past Ghost rares😅

Most 3d ghost rares: red dragon archfiend assault mode, stareater
Most beautiful ghost rares: black rose, stardust, galaxy eyes
Most epic ghost rares: blue eyes Chaos max dragon(OCG), Nr.62 prime galaxy eyes(OCG)
Why do you care if its first edition? Cards are cards, except for glossy and wavy vintage prints or old vs new card format, it makes no difference.
