- Hey guys, this is a blue and magenta-pink galaxy that I made, the only tool that I used was a sponge so its a fairly easy painting.

I'm going to do this style on my guitar pick guard. Do you think I need to use some sort of clear coat after? I sweat a lot when I play so I don't want to damage my work lol

Sort of protection on the acrylic like laquer or clear coat I’ve tried both on wooden surfaces and they both come out great!

Is your pic guard plastic?
What paints are you using? Whenever I paint a canvass black thats all she wrote for me. Nothing shows up but pure white
Then you're not using good paint. It also helps to prime with white under any color you might add on top of the black background but shouldn't be needed at all. Try acrylic next time &see how that works for you. Any color should still be able to be seen on top of black except watercolor. You can not use watercolor on top of a black background without priming 1st.
@@RainHavok1111 I'm probably not using very good paint. It's just Walmart brand. But yeah I'll try to do an under coat of white and see if that helps. Thanks for responding and I love your work!
What sponge did you use?
