Milton. When I sit down to watch videos it’s because I enjoy the content. You’re not wasting my time and I’m sure others feel the same. You could put out an hour video and I would feel good about watching it.
Yes indeed, look at the entire base and roots to see if you can expose better bases and roots to bring into the design. Great video! I will be very curious how this one turns into a beautiful bonsai. On your poodle cut/initial trimming of a tree. I don’t think I agree with your depth of cutting something initially. I try to take it in stages. But I see and appreciate your teachings/reviews/followups. Keep them coming my friend. We learn a whole bunch from them.
Please stay tuned...will update for sure in six months, maybe sooner. I have to cut through it to show my viewers. cutting it in stages is easier on the tree...Drastic cutting is less likely to kill the tree,,,Trade off!
I appreciate your videos. I am learning so much from you to put into my own trees. I’m doing the same thing in buying nursery stock and trying to turn them into something beautiful one day. Thank you for your wisdom and experience.

Milton, thank you for creating this video showing how to use a tree in the garden or found in forest.
You are welcome!
I gotta get myself a Juniper sometime... They look like a lot of fun to cut and shape. :)
They are!
👍
Thank you!
Well Milton, the phrase 'hedge my bet' isn't a term I have heard associated with bonsai. That is a first.
Middle of the road better?
