Balder can't die because of a curse from Freya because she didn't ever want her child to hurt or die. But as a result of the curse couldn't feel pain, pleasure, heat, cold, anything. Couldn't taste smell or anything. What brakes his curse is a mistletoe arrow or spear because of Löki.

The gods decided to protect baldr (the most beautiful and loved god of all) by making every being and essence swear on Odins spear (oaths sworn on the spear cannot be broken) to not hurt Baldr. This angered Loki and he found out from drunk gods that mistletoe didn't swore the oath because it was harmless. While testing out the oaths nothing could hurt baldr. Except the arrow from loki (made from misletoe) wich killed him. They went to the god of death and asked for baldr to rise again. She said she would only allow it if every being in the universe would cry over baldr being dead. That being said every being cried and wept at the lost of the most beautiful god, except one troll. They begged the troll to cry but he did not, wich caused baldr to be gone forever. This troll turned out to be loki and when the gods found out, they tied him onto rocks in a cave. With a snake hanging above him with his large fangs out. And every so often a drop of venom would drip on Loki's head, causing agonizing pain. Where he would remain until ragnarok

John: here me out , you may think that the tree is boring
Me: no tree is ever boring when John explains a messed up story about it
At the end me:That was one tree
my niece is named Yggdrasil, and her twin sister is named Valkyrie. We do have Norwegian and Germanic heritage on my dads side.
Odin's sacrifice is both brutal and beautiful
Hey Jon, I hope you're taking care of yourself. Please take enough rest, I understand that it may be infuriating to just sit around but your health comes first and you've posted enough stuff for us to watch. Wish you a speedy recovery ❤️
You should check out 'The Almighty Johnsons' for an "interesting" take on norse mythology. The norse gods are real and they live in New Zealand.
That’s because New Zealand is boss at 😅
No one would think to look for them there
Yea I seen that
My favorite TH-camr tbh
Hey, Jon! How's the *"messed-up origins of Balto"* comin' along???
I hope you feel better! Take care of yourself.
I've never been this early 😅

That’s Exactly what I’m doing
“ spill the mead“
I see what you did there!
Mr Burns and Odin, “I’d give it all up, for just a little bit more. “. Words to live/die by.
I'm more fond of the Norse Gods than the Egyptian, Greek and Roman ones.
Definity best ad transition. Great vid as always.
Whenever I see Yggdrasil, I think of the Tales of games series.
I think if Granblue Fantasy
I keep thinking of Granblue Fantasy VS. And how a whack ass character like Lowain becomes God Tier after her activation.
It is interesting to see the parallels between all of these mythologies and different religions.
Yes it is interesting and the more you search you feel like you're getting closer to God and the truth. But, can't find the beginning and there is no end.
In the Book of Daniel,
Dan. 10:21
Dan. 12:13
Daniel was told what was written in the book of truth, and will rise up at the end times.
Born Again, with the truth, he is the Holy Spirit, the third person to come.
We'll have to wait to see. It is written.
I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees. The trees say "Jon Solo er nummer én"
This helped me understand Amon Amarth's song "Thousand Years of Opression"
Jon: would u be willing to stab out your eye an.
One eyed viewer: no i would be blinder
