We will remember God bless all who served for Canada 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 and our freedoms. GOD keep our land glorious and free. Oh Canada We Stand On Guard For Thee. God Bless Canada 🇨🇦
Thank You to " ALL" Our Veterans...Past, Present and Future, no matter what your Ethnicity, you are and were a very important part of our lives. You will always be Remembered. Thank You.
Canadians fought against fascism, and after 70 years, a Nazi soldier received applause in the Canadian Parliament. What is the logic behind that? Why did Canadians not protest against that event and show disrespect for the soldiers who fought against fascism?
Can you perhaps explain how the South African war fits into this memorial day? Especially considering that it led to one the biggest atrocities committed by the British empire in which the Canadian melitias played a prime role in executing.
Thank you. for your Service to our country Canada to all of our veterans. remember the price of freedom is eternal vigilance, and we must remember that. for all that was sacrificed In the name of peace. So we keep our freedom. God bless.
I thank any and all the veterans who fought and died for this great country. I just hope that we can get a government in power who will respect all of them and give them everything they need and deserve. Lest we forget.
I can see my late dad, Sargent Major Alfred S Hoe standing amongst the vets. He's long buried in Beechwood Military burial area. Thanks dad, for your service to the British Commonwealth.
My small community of 8K enjoyed a turn-out of roughly 1,500 at the Cenotaph today. Oh so many families with children were a blessing for me. I certainly hope we never forget the contribution of two special Canadians ... my uncles.
Remembering all those brave men and women for their sacrifices to save the glorious Western civilization (and I am not even Western) from tyranny and oblivion !! May God bless them and their families and bless these lands with wisdom and light !!
This day is about OUR veterans!! This is not about politics or the war in Gaza and how our politicians have not mentioned it today. If you are so concerned about Gaza...GO BACK!! That goes to Canadians and Canadians of Convenience! You will not slowly erase this day as you have tried to do with others. Again...GO BACK if that is where your priorities are!
I was born in Canada. Where am I supposed to go back to? Canadians love peace and are grateful for our veterans sacrifice. But their sacrifice should not be in vain. They died so we could all live in peace. Remembrance Day is about PEACE. Being grateful for this also means that I care about innocent children in Gaza and want them to have peace too. I am also very concerned about Canadians who are being killed in Gaza. So today of all days talking about the need for a Ceasefire in Gaza is relevant. And where is your compassion for fellow Canadians trapped in Gaza?
@@ctgctg1 sorry buddy...Remembrance Day is about just that....Remembrance! I am sick and tired of this country being taken advantage of. If you feel so strongly....Go over there! Have you seen what is going on in the west?? Where was this compassion every time Israel was attacked with rocket fire? I am neither pro-israeli or pro-palestinian....I am pro-Canada. If that offends you, you might not be as Canadian as you think!
@@canadianshield5143 good be Pro-Canadian and think about our fellow Canadians trapped in Gaza. And you are so right Nov 11 is about remembering the sacrifices of our veterans who fought so hard so we could all have PEACE. So peace to you from your fellow Canadian and descendent of one of those veterans who made that sacrifice. Have a great day.
What was really sad today was a fellow staff member who is 18 or 19 yrs old asked me why do we still celebrate Remembrance Day . I thought to myself , do they not teach any of this in high school anymore . I just felt so sad . First I explained that we don't celebrate it , we do it to show our respect for the Veterans that fought for us to live in a free country .
This day of remembrance is marred by Trudeaus two term legacy of under funding Canada's military which is now sadly in shambles. Our veterans and current members in service deserve to have the funding and support they require to maintain their legacy, keep our country safe and to allow us to meet our NATO member commitments.
Can we save the political hate for another day. One fuking day! This is about Canada, this is about our great military who fought so valiantly to keep us free! For me, this is about my great grandfather who dies on Vimy; My father and mother who served in WW2; About my uncles who fought in WW2 and the Korean War. More than this, this is for all Veteran's that honour and protect Canada, living and deceased. We need to honour this respectfully. Divided amongst ourselves,we will never conquer. A simple history lesson.

A beautiful time of remembrance. Today I’m struck by the importance of the warning: Lest we forget. ❤ The cause for which they lived and died: giving the ultimate sacrifice. This understanding and the fight for freedom is built on the premise of the Judeo-Christian worldview. The ‘prayers’ offered in this service reveal our displacement from that worldview. What was shared was not prayers to God, but warm memories of the past. Nothing more than a long sympathy card. I’m ashamed that those who proport to represent God did so with such empty words. I suppose if Canada doesn’t wake up to our slipping into spiritual darkness, we will have to learn the hard way that we have squandered the gift of this nation. 😢
Jesus Christ bless all, I pray for Peace all around the world, God in your name, Jehovah, I demand that Peace rule over the world, please Spirit of Peace rule over ours and over all the world and the universe and in the spiritual realm!

No prayers allowed in Canada unless it’s Islamist. I’m glad that this tradition isn’t canceled and the natives aren’t tearing down statues and burning things.
Remembrance Day to me was surviving the London Blitz, and remembering that humans love their wars. One in Ukraine and One in the Middle East. The Middle East wars have been going on for over 2,000 years, that’s worth Remembering, because it will never end.
Canadians need to remember that the freedoms our once proud military men and women fought for are rapidly coming to an end under our dictator in Ottawa.
This day is so important. ❤I grew up with the belief that Canadians honour veterans on this day of remembrance with the promise in their hearts that as a country that Canadians only support peace and not war. This is a value I taught my children and was therefore so happy and honoured when my child was born on this day. I hope that everyone today can reach out to support a ceasefire today in Gaza. Too many innocent and children are dying. I am forever grateful to Canadian veterans and that I was born into a land that supports peace because of their sacrifices. They are heroes. Let’s all promote peace by asking our government to embrace a ceasefire for the sake of our fellow Canadians trapped in Gaza!
Yes, Canada remembers a once respected military with exemplary leaders. When veterans were treated with dignity and honour. When female CF members did not have to fear their “superiors” or stay quiet when abused. When senior officers were not hounded by prime ministers whose family has never served. Yes, the ordinary Canadian still tries to remember at cenotaphs not desecrated by cowards. They look at the ancient equipment, the leaky submarines, the obsolete aircraft, and the inability to procure even the most basic of military needs. Our glorious dead would have risen up and fought for what the country required. This generation just laughs, and turns back to their video games.
