I think HueningKai has "more training" thanks to his father. His father is a musician. KAI learned piano, guitar, singing and much more from an early age. His family is truly talented
It’s maybe more because Kai has a better vocal technique, but Yeonjun can also control his nasally voice technique as well which is amazing since controlling higher pitch voice is usually hard. I mean not for all but in some cases yeah.

They don't have any assigned positions as far as performing goes like this person is a rapper, this one's a singer, this member is a dancer etc, they do it all. So far Yeonjun has gotten the majority of rap or rap like parts but he's not limited to that. None of them are. Yeonjun trained the longest out of the five of them before debut in 2019. Soobin is the leader of the group, Yeonjun's the oldest, and Huening Kai is the youngest. They've improved a lot since debut and are still learning and experimenting to see what sounds fit the group. If you want to check out a group that just debuted check out Enhypen. They debuted at the end of last month and they're doing so well in such a short amount of time since debut.

If you're interested, their other live performances are 20cm on We Kpop, Ghosting (the 201027 version, on the other one, 1 of the boys caught a cold and another one had to sing his hardest part), and there's a 20 minutes radio show on SBS Radio youtube chanel where they sing Blue Hour at the beginning (it's recent so they got more comfortable with the song and did more adlibs and background vocals than the Genius Open Mic version) and Fairy of Shampoo at the end (falsettos, falsettos for EVERYONE!)

Never heard of them before. I will have to share them others. I don't know if you ever analyze choirs, especially children's choirs, but their are two amazing choirs that would be great for this. They both have several solos during their covers. Check out One Voice Children's Choir and Rise Up Children's Choir, that is a branch off from One Voice Children's Choir. You won't regret it. In each of these choirs many of their members do their own covers by themselves or with other members in small groups. You should also watch Lexie Walker in collaboration with The Piano Guys did a uniquely beautiful version of "O Holy Night/Ave Maria" that is unlike anything you have ever heard before or are ever likely to hear again.

Yeonjun started singing around teen years, Kai began his singing since a kid I believe.
