That’s the thing about music, it sticks with us throughout our lives. Why do you think the older folks are still so passionate about The Beatles and Elvis? That’s their nostalgia.
Coolest comment section. I remember listening to this in 5th grade being so jealous my older brother was there. Now I’m 25 years old 15 years later and recently getting back into this music. Underoath will ALWAYS be #1
To everyone saying they suck live: this is one of the most clean-vocally involved songs they have. Singing this without playing drums is difficult enough after a couple songs but while playing drums it's extremely difficult. This was only the second time Aaron started singing on an UO album. Keep in mind it's more important that the drums don't mess up (otherwise the whole band does) before the vocals. It takes time to get good at playing live. Cut the guys a break.
I'll never forget meeting them when they toured with The Devil wears prada back in 2008, I broke my nose in TDWP pit and was taken to the back and Underoath was passing by right before they're set. Best fucking day ever idgaf.
You go to shows for the energy and the experience. If you want them to sound exactly like on the recorded version then just stay home and listen to it.
I might sound quite salty writing this but i have to say it. Its borderline hilarious the amount of people that think the singers should be 100% on point after touring and screaming and ripping their vocal chords up and suffering from extreme vocal fatique. If this was opera or theater, yea I would understand the demand for perfection, which is way at times depending on their schedule will have to actors for 1 roll to allow the singers to rest their voice. I used to be in it. I can tell you this is not possible for this band and the demand this genre brings. Props for them ripping their vocals up so youtubers can just shit on them.
Damn these guys are awesome but it is hard to pull this off live, my band and I tried and it was relly hard but we pulled through either way this song still kicks ass!!!!!
I love them lol I know vocals cant always be perfect. I sounded like trash after like 2 hours of screaming my head off at a local venue. Can’t imagine doing that everyday for months and be able to sing lol props to ya for still doing things live. Cheers!
yea i no. i no how hard tht they work. i have met them befor and i can jus tell jus by talking to em about how much passion they have for there music. they give every thing they have to give every show. lol. but yea i agree w/ u about august burns red. as for the other bands, i havent ever hered of em. lol. but dont get my wrong. i love underoath, and no matter how tired they sound, and how bad they may sound, i will still love em. lol
underoath is the like most amazing band next to bullet for my valentine. they have meaningful deep christian lyrics that can help you really find whats good in life and help you understand yourself a little more. i saw them live in philly back in october and that concert changed mt life and im happy i went cuz i never would have realized how much God effects my life and has an impact on everything i do by the speech the spencer gave
Honestly as much as they messed up I would live to see them re due this song they are freaken amazing now!!!!! I bet anything Aaron and Spencer would Fucken Wreck at it now!!!!
epro de todas formas son uan inspiracion musical un talento hay en ellso en esos tiempos por q ahora y no siento mucho la presencia de dios en underoathdesde q se fue aaron
For those that appreciate a band, shall appreciate changes while shutting up lol and enjoying the good time! 🤘🤪 Music is like art and art is ment to be messy as music should be too! 😛
I think the point of that comment was that underoath is a christian band who takes religion seriously and uses it as well as music as an escape from drugs and other temptations in life. idk go look that up for yourself
this is when they sounded awful live. ugh. but now look them up. it's like a complete polar opposite. one of the best live bands out there for sure with some of the hardest music to pull of live. they really evolved and bettered themselves.
haha they are awesome live now, but i think this is a pretty cool performance, to me this sounds pretty passionate. definately not the best they can do though
Man both Spencer's and Aaron's voices are expended from playing back to back shows. They need a break to recover their vocal chords between performances.
Not for Aaron, granted this was over 3 years ago. Now it sort of seems he's had vocal training. Your voice cracking and not hitting the right pitch almost has nothing to do with being tired, you'd just not be able to sing. My guess is he was sick, because normally he sings quite high.
I remember listening to this in 9th grade im 26 now lol crazy dude I still jam to underoath
I remember listening to this when I was only in 2nd grade and now I’m in college lol
That’s the thing about music, it sticks with us throughout our lives. Why do you think the older folks are still so passionate about The Beatles and Elvis? That’s their nostalgia.
You're at least 32 now dang
Coolest comment section. I remember listening to this in 5th grade being so jealous my older brother was there. Now I’m 25 years old 15 years later and recently getting back into this music. Underoath will ALWAYS be #1

This was a bad night they’re a lot better live now. This performance sounds like they’re exhausted

You go to shows for the energy and the experience. If you want them to sound exactly like on the recorded version then just stay home and listen to it.

I think the point of that comment was that underoath is a christian band who takes religion seriously and uses it as well as music as an escape from drugs and other temptations in life. idk go look that up for yourself
This is sooo baaad😔

ermm... ok - just came from the recent live stuff, this hurts, they need to do this song properly live
haha they are awesome live now, but i think this is a pretty cool performance, to me this sounds pretty passionate. definately not the best they can do though
no this was the last song they were dead tired
you to sing and play for an hour+ straight then come talk to me
Exactly man..☺
i love spencer because he is a goofy ass live
Man both Spencer's and Aaron's voices are expended from playing back to back shows. They need a break to recover their vocal chords between performances.
they sound soo tired

what are you talking about??
man how does Aaron sing and play drums at the same time. It sounds bad but I dont know how he keeps beat while singing.
1:53.... Actually they both have grown into stronger vocalists with time.
Yeah he is, when you see Tim singing he is just attempting to do Harmony.
actually the singer is not under drogs, he stopped doing drugs since he became christian, it's his own testemony
He so so tired i know!
