I've been listening to post-hardcore and metal bands since 2009 but I'm only discovering their songs now prolly because I didnt like them much back them.
Anyone listening here? 2019 Listening this song when im 18 years old student.. Simple, having a skinny shorts, skate shoes , now im 29 year old engineer and having a wife and son.. This music lives forever in my heart
Good for you! I am 29 and still a fuckin' virgin, thank God. Good luck playin' dad in today's cowardly and pretentious logically-castrated democratically-altruistic materialistic God-less world! Just what the world needs another fuckin' conformist engineer... Why don't you just join a vegan cult so you can set caged G.M.O. cows and chickens free while your brother-in-law and uncle serve a life sentence is a privatized political prison. Or maybe you can give all your rescued vegan farm animals to the homeless in your community so they don't feel so fucking sorry for themselves. You can play this shitty music at your kid's next birthday party. How's that sound for 20fucking19, you fucking conformist piece of shit?
They are not recognized enough for their input in the post-hardcore/metalcore scene from the late 2000s. These guys were surely underrated. The line up changes was what killed the band and thus ended the band for good a couple of years ago. At least Jag (lead singer) still making music.
I definitely agree that they’re underrated, but they did not make that much of an impact in the post-hardcore genre as you suggest. You had bands like Alesana, Dance Gavin Dance, MCR, pierce the veil and a few others that were making much bigger waves than these guys. As someone else said, the mixing of the album was not so great, but I don’t really blame them for it. ASD is still a band I can go to when I feel like reminiscing!
@@icanmakeeverythingilovedie9861 the mix? The mix of this album was exceptional and still holds up to this day. Probably the best kick drum sound ever.
@@sacredxgeometry It was a response to to someone else, iirc. I forget. Wires sounded great, though. Might've been in reference to Jags newer music sounding like shit or maybe the Jordan-era stuff.
Agree. Unfortunately it seems Jag is well... a Jag off as it has come to light. But the original members are still dope as heck and I hope to hear stuff from them soon. As much as Jag ended up being a huge ass his voice was great and really helped define Wires... and ASD. Still one of my favorite albums and bands ever.
Fire rages in me Never want to see the roses on your door Glasses separates our touch Soaring into the unknown skies fearing what we're fighting for This is a war we cannot win! Our last time to make stars collide right before our eyes Believe in everything Everything you've ever known Reciting words we lost These years will never be untold I won't be alone Fire rages in me Daylight fights through the night with the cries of redemption The sun ignites the light in our eyes And is this possible! Our last time to make stars collide right before our eyes Believe in everything Everything you've ever known Reciting words we lost These years will never be untold I won't be alone This time we fight Side by side You and I This time we fight Side by side You and I The bringers of light The teeth in the night The teeth in the night The bringers of light The teeth in the night I won't be, won't be alone
I remember falling in love with the vocalist's pop voice in contrast to the hardcore rock and Screamo a long with a melodious balance, the 2000-2012 was certainly a golden era for post hardcore, emo, Screamo. I still have a t shirt from a concert I attended in Tempe AZ. :-( how time flies

Indudablemente, esta canción destila motivación en cada nota. Transmite un profundo sentido de poder interior y un llamado a la autenticidad, invitándonos a enfrentar el futuro con determinación y confianza en nosotros mismos.😊
This band always had a unique sound. You really can't compare them to other post hardcore bands, although they have the same aspects of post hardcore, the vocal styles are so much different.
Its funny because ASD is a band that I forget about for long periods of time, and then one day they will show up on a randomized Playlist on my phone and I fall back down the rabbit hole. Wires, is, and always will be a banger of an album. Glad I found the rabbit hole again.
