The daughter wasn't being disobedient though, the mother was being irrational. Thinking of herself instead of her daughter's future. Had she known that you shouldn't make dua against your children, or had she known her own death would be the reason the dua was answered, she wouldn't have made the dua.
I'm just saying.

Isn't Allah the most merciful? why would he accept a bad dua? He knows that the mother never has bad intentions for her daughter. And anger and shaytaan caused her to make dua against her daughter. So why would the dua be accepted?. Does that mean parents dua can actually cause a misfortune? what if the son or daughter repents? and seeks help from Allah?

Salam. I don’t know if this will help now . But the prophet sallahou alayhi wa Salam said that if a Muslim curses another muslim unjustly . The curse roams the heavens and earth and is repelled and will return back to its owner . In order words , he/ she will be the one ending up being cursed .

i can see many people in comment section saying that why was the dua accepted of that mother....we have no right to judge ...u never know why Allah does something...maybe im not saying im sure but maybe we dont know that maybe her mother died because its somewhat an ease for her that maybe if her mother dies she will fail once but than next time she wil pass and with much greater scores ... cause ehr mom wouldnt be there so there wont b someone who would say her to o chores all the time or make bad dua for her.....

en resume, une fille dit au Sheikh qu'elle travaillais enormement pour reussir son examen mais que sa mere faisait des duas pour qu'elle ne l'ait pas et qu'Allah ne soit pas content d'elle. 2 semaines avant les exams la fille a arrete d'etudier, sa mere est morte percute par une voiture, donc les duas de la mere a ete accepte avec des consequences.
