The 8-bit fireball in the 8-bit nightmare dimension is my end game directional shard of choice. It's very similar to the flame cannon but even more powerful.
8 bit is awesome, im just finishing up 100% then will get some more vids done. Flame Cannon lasts to the point you can reach 8 bit, then you need to switch to 8 bit to remain overpowered. Its easy to upgrade as well, just needs money! The skull necklace accessory which adds more than 50% or so to the damage makes it even better, I normally equip that for bosses ;)
@@0twaster0i02 I think.you get it from the dead people quests as a reward. It increases MP usage, so its not great to have on all the time, but its great for killing bosses quicker
With the current patch 1.02 (Switch Version) you can only upgrade your Fire Canon to Level 4 by using gunpowder. Level 5+ requires rubies... But even with the Fire Canon at Level 4 you are pretty ready to rumble for quite some time!
What a surprise, they are really messing things up with all these patches. I get bug fixes and what not but they are changing everything and im sure this will continue
If you farm a little bit on the ship you could get the bird's shard (Gale crawler) and put it lv7 as well and go to the city with a bunch of levels on your pocket as well. Isn't a 10min run but is worth bc your farm at late game will be eazy.
I have another guide for cheesing him, not sure if works on nightmare. 100% first, then will give nightmare a go, what carries over?? May do NG+, then a fresh nightmare afterwards..
I'm just wondering has anybody done a build with blood bringer I'm just seeing that it might be a real powerful weapon I leveled The familiar up to 25 which in turn gave it as a weapon 30 damage so if you figure every 25 levels it goes up 30 that's like 120 then you can use the sword experience shard the boosted even more I'm just wondering if anybody has tried it yet later in the game when it will be easier to do
I legit started the game, levelled this up and got about halfway through and deleted my save to start over because this just trivialised every single boss fight. i didn't even watch a video, i was just levelling stuff up and had a bunch of gunpowder left over. It's insane even in full melee gear
Im going back to this soon to make a Platinum Speedrun, hoping to get it near the 5 hour mark or just over. Sort of route is planned, just gotta practice and clean it up Yea quite a few things have been patched since released, you cant make Flame Cannon OP to begin with anymore ;(
I agree, the game provides many many options, but this is very easy to acquire and you even gain it via story. This is but one method of many, this is one that you can acquire within 10 minutes though as advised ;)
Red beasts edge (1 week ago) is broken. The level one does the damage of the level 3. I used the level 1 dagger/rapier nearly my entire playthrough. I hit for over 350 without a crit at level 60.
I used flying sword for about 80% of the game. So useful and although the attack is weak it’s utility is great. I was only able to upgrade it to oracle once I reached the last area, sad really would have loved to have it earlier. But the oracle is still one of the sickest weapons in the game.
It's just the next one up from 8-bit that you use to upgrade 8-bit weapons into there 24-bit variant. Then you go upgrade that into the 32-bit variant!
To be honest i've not done much testing with them yet. That Flame Cannon shard honestly gets you through the first half of the game easily and havent progressed past there. There is a weapon that drops from a scissor lady after the 2nd boss and its hits like 6 times a second, pretty good. That Flame Cannon, if you take some time now to go back to the ship and farm those five cannon enemies till you are grade 9, then upgrade it to rank 7, you will do between 200-300 dmg per use. Took me about 30minutes btw the farm grade 9, but I hard that fast weapon first that I speak of above. I do plan to test ALL the 8-bit coin weapons eventually and probably release all the info in a video later. For now though I meed to get through the game and gain a lot of gold so its easier for me to experiment ;) Btw: ive not been back on the game yet since making these vids, work and stuff. Once back on, im sure more vids will pop up ;)

i wasnt expecting this game to be so much fun. i love it so much and i have played all trhough the era it harkens back to (38 yrs old)

I cant gt past zengetsu. Even with rank 7 crawler.

Fully upgraded Chisel Barrage and Summon Hellhound will make short work of anything.
Unfortunately doesn't work to level 7 now but gets you to level 4 which is still okay

Its actually only OP for the first half, its no so good in the second half and requires you to switch up a bit
Better of Farming and using 'summon:bat" imo.
Heretical slash is way better does way more damage and you get it at the beginning of the castle. And it is never not useful.

It's not OP buddy, it's only good if your Int is high and it's such a short range and you find way better within 20 percent of the map is completed

The poison shoes are pretty good, poison damage in general is pretty fantastic in this game.
