- This is the first episode of this series in which we try to max out every single gathering profession in Albion Online. With that being said, there will be more to come with this series. I want to max this character so I can easily gather and then use those resources to help my guild as well as my main character. I hope you all enjoyed the first episode!
To erect the greatest cities and smith the most deadly weapons requires resources and plenty of them. Search far and wide to find the very rarest, most prized materials. But be on your guard - your enemies will be looking too!

I loved this video and it was informative for sure but as an Elder skinner I can safely say always refine everything you have... the reason why the Tier 2 hide was more expensive than the leather is because the ratio is 1:1
So what i am saying is if you refine all the hides with resource return from the town you actually end up making more money even if the leather is selling for less because you make they money back and profit based on how much extra leather you make and in the case of tier 2 it would've been +9 silver.
Bottom line.. if you can refine it ALWAYS REFINE IT.
Refine it with the resources already farmed. If they just buy the rest of the needed resources on the marketplace then that will surely make you lose profit. Because like tier .3 hides, except in t6 to 8, you will always lose profit.
Dont always refine it there are always exceptions, one time a very long time ago I refined some t4 bars and the cost of the materials and making t4 bars ended up with me loosing 60 silver per bar I crafted

Facts!
There is a filter for gathering gear on the market, no need to manually scroll for all the pieces
Also you can click on any piece of any quality and change that in the next menu that pops up with details about what you are looking at and buy what you need that way :)

Would you think it's best to max all tier by tier? skinning to t8 than fiber to t8 etc until you finish?.. I have done it this way and it's feel much easier but will be watching yours for entertaining purposes.. [may 19th]

I'm leveling, not only all the gathering, but all my craft itens too, but only using LP on the first. Currently I'm at T5 mining and T4 on the others. Once I level up all to T5, including the ability to craft all the gears, I'll go to the black zone to gather T5 resources.
Noob question , lets say i have 2 ch one for combat and one for gathering , can i trade money and items between my ch? And if yes , how ?
Which is better - using the refining stations on cities or having your own one in your island?
Might be doing it wrong but I am gathering in 4 resources (mind you I am new thus I have to do trial and error with things as well).
Not sure how you check time, but I think I have used (atm of writing this) about 16 hours to reach, being able to use T3 gathering tools, and about 1/3 towards unlocking T4 tools usage.
Tha way I do my leveling is do combat skills first cause they level kinda quick then do gathering then crafting and finally cultivation, cooking, and alchemy
why would anyone spend ANY learning points on combat skills? that seems super stupid considering combat fame is free. gathering skills are the only things worth using them on. EVEN refining is useless because you can go and buy 999 stacks of a resource refine all of it get MAD fame and then at the end sell it for a modest profit. so at the end of the day, only gathering/crafting skills are the only ones worth spending learning points on. you can do it all on one character easily.
It's only worth to spend it on certain "master combat" skills or whatever it's called. They arent expensive in LP and are difficult to level up on your own as they require a lot more fame than general skills(like sword master on level 20 is easier to level up than e.g claymore master on level 5). After reaching level 10 or 20 with the master skill you can start feeling difference.

I’m a new player who started maybe 4 days ago so I might not know but what’s the point if a main and alt? Do you share a storage across all characters? Because if not I’m not seeing the point of this
Has been a year since you commented, but here we go.
I'm new to AO, but to me, having alt is always a good thing, for example I have an account for my main (dungeon crawler and gatherer, mostly solo playing) and alt account for my PVP oriented toons. This help me to join a guild with my PVP oriented toon ("alt" account) and to having my own guild with an island, storage, etc. for myself in the "main" account.

I ve made it all the way to t5 gathering but t6 seems impossible with gankera on red zone, and yellow is simply overflowing with people. Any ideas?
Use (journeyman's)horse to gather, bloodletter and mistcaller to escape ganks. Return to Carleon every time you have 90-99% of your inventory filled. Store anything you've gathered and repeat. You can also use food like pies to gather faster.

I missed the times when I just started the game.The game was free.I didn't like the game at first but after the dungeon update came I was addicted.Now I have done leatherworking level 8 and I have thirty million silver.

Take from someone who has NOT pvp'ed at all but only gathered. Do NOT level up crafting for gathering gear.
1. It can never be sold for profit, even with 15% return its still a 30-40% loss
2. The amount of time (let alone silver) you spend leveling it up just to T6 takes almost tens of thousands of resources
3. If you spend that time gathering instead, you will earn so much more. 30 min of gathering will easily pay for a whole set no matter the tier up to 6 (Even 7 in some cases)
I recommend selling crafted stuff on black market as usually there are better prices for the trash you crafted. You do lose some money but being able to craft stuff on your own, especially artifacts above T4 is highly profitable.
Aren't you worry about the current QoQ situation? How are you going to react to that?
I mean do everything in one. Combat skills never use learning points. Use fame books for that. If you get T4 skinning in less than 6 hrs I'll be pissed. Lol
i got T4 skinning in less than 4 hours. t5 in 8 hours > T6 in 3 hours by killing aspect guardians :/

you must've installed the game in HDD, re-install that in SSD and it'll be smooth.
Im a tier 4 miner and let me tell you it's a PAIN getting iron because there are usually only 2/6 iron in a small vein

Hi. I like your videos in generall. But I wish you'd prepared this one a bit more, maybe by writing a script. Some things I've noticed: a) Always use a bag. T2 bag is very easy to craft. You didn't used any bag from start, which dramatically reduced your max load until you had an ox. b) Don't leave tutorial without T2 tool(s). Build this one up as fast a possible. You can do this by gathering a mix of wood, ore, hide and cloth so you can craft every T2 tool and a bag. c) I did not understand why you mention to focus on daggers and than use LPs to reach T4 Bow. d) For some quick money, buy a second donkey in tutorial and sell it in city. You can easy carry it, if you use a bag. ;-)

Also if you know the tier or type of item but don't remember the exact name of it you could use tab3 +filters to see all items of certain type or tier in game

Moving around isnt gonna prevent mobs from damaging you...
It's called attack move. By moving away from the creeps in between autoattacks you can cancel a lot of attacks that mobs do to you + I believe the bow's passive slows creeps by some amount which makes attack move even more effective.
If you open your eyes you can see it works
