I LOVE LOVE the Pointer Sisters for decades ..I STILL have their record ALBUM ENERGY from 1978! , that was my favorite....loved their music and beautiful smiles...I'm very sad to hear this....
Another legendary singer passed away, part of the Grammy Award winning band The Pointer Sisters, Anita 74 and yet again another vocalist from one of our favourite floor filling bands of the 80's most prominently but also the 70's and beyond into the 90's at our fabulous deeply missed Roller Disco Lincoln Drill Hall ( UK) and our amazing Roadshow as well. The past two weeks in the music world has been devastated by the loss of Terry Hall, Martin Duffy and now Anita Pointer, sheer brilliant lyricists and musicians in their own right gone but their memories and music will forever live on, RIP, ANITA, MARTIN AND TERRY, To Good To Be Forgotten.
Always loved the sounds of the Pointer Sisters kinda reminded me of the fabulous all girl group the Emotions ❤️ they all sang so beautifully and so wonderfully very SORRY 😔 to hear about Miss Anita Pointer passing my ❤️ will never be the same missing her GREATLY already RIP BELOVED ❤️
My father saved her and her sisters' mother's life in the early 1980's. They told him they were forever indebted to him and if he ever needed anything he could call upon them. He never took them up on the offer and was just happy and grateful to have done what he did for their family matriarch. He passed away in 2020. That story was always kind of a big deal in our family when I was growing up. RIP🙏
I loved seeing her within the group because I've always seen her as the big sister that I wish i had. 🥺 Rest in heavenly piece big sis, so tall and beautiful, your forever fan always ❤️
May our creator rejoin you with your loved ones and may you ALL rejoice in His presence. I love you and your entire family. So so sad about this. Only Ruth is still alive and ironically she’s the oldest one. Bonnie died only 2 years ago and now we lost another Pointer sister… I didn’t know she was diagnosticed with cancer since 2021

Awe! This is so sad to hear. Even though it sounds like she lead a full life, 74 seems so young for this vibrant spirit. I actually sat next to Anita on a flight to LAX a few years back. I guess I actually kind of slept on her and luckily she thought it was funny and cute. Haha! She really seemed like such a sweet lady. I remember her telling me that she loved my jacket, while I admired her Louis Vuitton hair scrunchie! Typical girl talk! Lol! I also recall her telling me that she was going to be visiting her daughter/family immediately upon landing, which she was SUPER excited about!! She was either on a break from a tour or just wrapped up a tour and was flying back home. Bless her soul!! I am sorry for her family’s loss.

I expect some for sure and esp older ones are pretty much normal but not to this extent esp when I read what that * rna does and how it goops up inside etc. Making any weaknesses alot worse or aggro .
