  • Toldot Yisrael (www.toldotyisra... ) presents the story of the November 29th, 1947 UN vote for the Partition of Palestine. A vote that lasted a mere three minutes changed the course of Jewish History and brought 20 centuries of Jewish homelessness to an end.
This movie is the second episode in the "Eyewitness 1948" short film series produced by Toldot Yisrael and the History Channel. It is the centerpiece of an educational pilot program developed with The iCenter and made possible through the generous support of the Jim Joseph Foundation and others.

Devoted Filipino Christian should always support Israel. As a Christian who believes in the Bible, we must fight for Israel's independence and protect Israel from its enemies. If world war breaks, i want to be in Israel and defend their land.

I am a second generation Jew..........from the planet Brooklyn, NY where all great things are!
We are the strongest of people, we love life and peace.........enemies of Israel and the Jewish people understand, we will never disappear, continually turn the other cheek, and agree to politically correct demeanor just because those in that den of thieves (UN) think we should.
We only want to follow the dictates of G-D, and will fight to the death to protect our solemn right to exist.
    Shalom.

O nascimento do ESTADO de ISRAEL é simplesmente o cumprimento das profecias contidas na PALAVRA de DEUS acerca do POVO ESCOLHIDO. A PALAVRA de DEUS jamais falhou e jamais falhará.Simples e maravilhoso assim. HAVA NAGILA OH! BLESSED PEOPLE, GOD'S WONDERFUL PEOPLE , JEWISH PEOPLE.

There is no mention of the remarkable efforts of Jorge Garcia-Granados of Guatemala. A statue of this great man stands in Tel Aviv.

@daphnepearl1 I'm British and a non-Jew, and I was also born several months after Israel was established. I can't respond like a Jew, but I still do all in my power to support and defend Israel, and the significance of this little film is not lost on me by any means. The creation of Israel should not be seen simply as a triumph for the Jews, but as something of great significance for the whole of mankind. For Jews it was the greatest event in 2000 years. Am Yisrael chai.

I have been to Israel twice, and it is amazing. I am a Jew, and visiting my home land had always been one of my dreams. It was even more amazing than I imagined. I can't wait to go back, hopefully soon
