To be fair, this has been an issue with Texas even before 🍊 even came onto the political scene. Secondly, with Musk and his mother trying to demand people have children to keep their factories operational, what's the need for schooling beyond grade 12? They don't want others (mainly non⚪ youth) to aspire to be doctors, professors, or executives. A more educated populace has greater access to more career options.
That’s true, but the reason this happened is because Mango Mussolini empowered them to do so through his rhetoric. This would not have happened if we elected a candidate that didn’t promise to shut down the DOE. Enrollment in the Lewisville Independent School District peaked around 2015 at a level well below that predicted a decade earlier. Enrollment is still falling and closing five elementary schools still leaves a lot of excess classroom space. Lewisville ISD is in Denton County where the 1:50 population is still growing, but much of the growth is DINKs and families with few children. The age pyramid is inverting which results in high schools staying open while elementary schools close.
I was wondering about that. The US birth rate has been below replacement level since 2007. So if they built schools anticipating population growth that has not happened, then they would have to close schools and consolidate resources. You are 100% correct. I was middle and high school teacher for 37 years. (I retired in June 2019.) When I was pondering having children with my husband, I had thought about home schooling--- for about one minute. Bottom line grade 6-12 teachers in NYS need both a Bachelor degree and a Master's degree within five years. We also have to fulfill X amount of education credits per year in our chosen field, new trends in education, as well as Federal and state curriculum updates. Private schools tend to not have the strict requirements that public school teachers have. The private school has their own requirements and truthfully their teachers are not paid well. There is no union stabilizing contracts in private schools for teachers. I taught in a private school for my first year of teaching. I barely made enough to live on and had to work a second job. I chose to leave after one year and finish my Master's degree while living back home.

2:50 I think the Shadow Man from the princess and the frog said it best "u got what u want, but lose what u had"
I'm looking forward to the part where Dr. Flaccid Hair gets sent to the shadow realm of the NY state penal system
I have my feet up, my popcorn out and a big grin on my face - am enjoying this so much! MAGA tears are the sweetest tears of all.
Yeah but if there are losers then we’re all losers. If we’re all winners it’s much better. When we want to seek revenge ie: watching “them” suffer then we’re just like Trump. They’re not bad people. They are unhappy people and they made some bad choices. Also no kids deserve to suffer because of their parent’s choices. Ok sermon over. Personally, I like Parmesan cheese on my popcorn.
The bad part is - you're not just an observer. You're coming along for the ride with everyone else.
The "not in my neighborhood" people now have to send their kids to different schools and different neighborhoods. How ironic.
Well, when we have even fewer qualified candidates for tech and other skilled jobs, it's going to help those wealthy oligarchs continue justifying shipping those jobs overseas so they keep their overhead on wages lower...follow the money, folks
Exactly. And this is what those freaking tariffs are about, too.
I keep thinking that a while ago the US had a big push to be better than other countries in science, technology, engineering and math. Jess we don’t need that anymore.
To be stupid is to be happy. Don’t get no head aches if you don’t gotta think. A happy Republican.
They want you to pay to get an education. Private schools might stay open
Oh, they will. They’re going to make it so that the only options are homeschool or private school.
You don't have to pay for an education. You have one in your pocket.
How many different more ways will the billionaire class find to siphon money out of the lower classes? Is there any wool left to sheer from the sheep??
@@chernobyl169 no. thats not how education works

Keep voting RED Texas. Way to go. Who needs education when your 8 yr old can work in fields picking produce, or a slaughter house like they do in Idaho. 😊😊😊
This is an example of you bought it, you broke it.
My neighbor home schools their kids. The young boy really knows nothing. Basic common things.

Thoughts and Tarrifs
To be fair, this has been an issue with Texas even before 🍊 even came onto the political scene. Secondly, with Musk and his mother trying to demand people have children to keep their factories operational, what's the need for schooling beyond grade 12? They don't want others (mainly non⚪ youth) to aspire to be doctors, professors, or executives. A more educated populace has greater access to more career options.
That’s true, but the reason this happened is because Mango Mussolini empowered them to do so through his rhetoric. This would not have happened if we elected a candidate that didn’t promise to shut down the DOE. Totally right about the factory workers thing, and also they don’t want educated voters that think critically enough to see through their lies.
Musk loose money each time he build a car. That is why he do whaterver he can to make them not build cars. Trumpland is hillarious. I wonder if anybody remember that Elon poket billions to build a mars base before 2025... LOOOL. Elonia survival was linked to mango musso scam
Again, it is another example of how Maga voted for a few policies, not hearing the rest. but what Maga failed to comprehend, that they are voting for entire package, the character and all of his policies.
America. Striving for the bottom of the bottom. Way to go your almost there.
you're...
The most unfortunate thing is….it’s not just the closing of the schools, but how it will affect every single parent who has a special-needs child .They will not get the assistance to the state moving forward they received prior to this election. They won’t get the Aid at school support, the meetings tailored to their special situation…..and believe me, these parents need the support. It is the most difficult thing to go through, trying to provide a child who will live after they pass, but that child have special needs their whole life.
Once again, what they have wished on others, is visited on them.
Merry no school , deportations, concepts of a plan, thoughts and tariffs!!!
George Bush’s no child left behind has now left most children behind. It’s estimated that 60% of the population has on average has a 6th grade education.
As a former sixth grade teacher I can tell you most of them can only do 3rd or 4th grade math.
Elementary school is pretty early for mythology.
Gotta get them while they're young and maleable.
Indoctrination, to be effective, must begin at a early age.
Religion is the cause of - and solution to - all of mankind's problems.
I think the Bible should be taught in Church before it is taught in schools
So too should leftism, LGBT, multiculturalism, and the false belief that men and women are equal should definitely not be in schools either
It is because you don't know the Republican white Jesus. That Jesus was at Epstein party and Diddy freek off. That Jesus is very wealthy and inject very powerfull light in COVID patient...
Science and math should be taught in churches...
We warned them & they didn't listen
"Rarely is the question asked: Are ... is our children learning?" - George W. Bush
Not that George W. Bush did anything to improve the public school's that taught the majority of our nation's children! He did nothing but start a illegal war for oil subsidies and granted a illegal no bid federal contract for Dick Cheney's hellebrant company that made over 350 billion dollars in profit at the expense of our troops in Iraq! That is a fact!
Now they can prove they know how to teach their kids better than teachers.
Covid already proved that. They can’t even with daily zoom lessons provided from their local public schools.
I think it was comedian Ron White that said "you can't fix stupid"
Unless they are teaching the bible is a bunch of BS, they shouldn't be teaching it!
"What ya gonna do brother when Tariffmania runs wild on you" 🤣🤣🤣
Hmmm 🤔 And who will have to quit working in order to home school their children? 🤔 Handmaid's Tale, here we come. Or the kids simply won't be educated.
Here in PA, any time the Governor even mentions about investing money into different avenues to help the future workers, or companies within this state, the maga whine non-stop about how much they are wasting. They just can't grasp that to actually make America the way they keep saying they want it, means that we need to invest in the future, and into businesses.
They want women out of society and to know their place. That’s the end game.
No schools or underfunded schools means mom (who was forced into parenthood) has to stay home to care for kids because there are no options or the options available are unaffordable.
Not going to be a problem. Every woman I know both in person and online refuses to risk having kids until every policy made in these 4 years is entirely reversed.
Including me.
Get ready for "The Handmaid's Tale" style gulags to start popping up all over the south. The sort of places that would make amy coney-island whitefish, wetter than Louisiana following hurricane Katrina.
@@LycanFerret Until the fascists force you to have children.
Texas, where they realize they're not the least educated state and are determined to change that.
Y'know what, I approve of teaching the Bible in schools. All of it. Thoroughly, back to front. We'll get a lot more atheists that way.
Bibles belong in church not schools
I stopped being Christian after reading the Bible and started studying many cultures and religions. you may be on to something.
Great idea! I read much of the bible as a pre teen and teenager and was like nah hard pass this is straight up 🐂 💩 and all these adults are lying hypocrites 🤷♀️

But wait, they keep voting for the GOP. I'm glad I got my education. FAFO
This is just the dress rehearsal. Wait to see what happens next as public education is slashed. Those leopards are going to feast.
I'm so glad I pulled my kids out to homeschool them. I live in Texas & it's been red for FOREVER, so it's always been crappy in the south. My kids started having issues & REGRESSING!!! It was insane!
Thankfully, they're both absolutely flourishing now! I do understand that it isn't for everyone nor a good idea for everyone. But in my case, living in such a red state that wasn't 100% teaching them everything needed in order for them to thrive as people in a society as well as continued empathy towards those with less/ no privileges.
For instance, in south Texas, they don't learn about history. Not true history. They're taught only what the victors/colonizers want them to know. The whole "you're teaching racism by showing them the history of racism" crowd doesn't want to make the whyt kids "feel bad" or whatever (I say this as a whyt Hispanic mom with two VERY pasty whyt kids) so we're full of racist adults & kids.
Again, I understand that home school is not for everyone nor should it be. I'd also like to add that my dream job was being a teacher & I did hold teaching positions in child development centers. Lol
They don't want education, they want indoctrination. They want North Korean type drone kids who question nothing and obey. It's absolutely grotesque. Atleast your kids will have a much better start. I hope they grow up to be successful folk who make you proud!
You make a good point. Sometimes homeschooling IS called for.
I didn't think the leopards were going to eat my face ???? Geeeeeee
Trump is like the pyromaniac who goes to work for the fire station
But then the pyromaniac got caught and the townspeople still insisted on making him the new fire chief.
They didn't want CRT, not to worry, they will get wrestling.
Suck it up folks. You got what you wanted and now the bill comes due in full.
That’s interesting.
I was wondering about that. The US birth rate has been below replacement level since 2007. So if they built schools anticipating population growth that has not happened, then they would have to close schools and consolidate resources. I mean Trump is an absolute Muppet and I am glad he is not my president but I am not sure this is all on him.
Rich kids go to school and everyone else goes to work
You are 100% correct.
We the people will pay for destroying the separation of church and state

I believe the days of America being a constitutional republic/ democracy are done.
Trump's inner circle wrote project 2025 which goes into detail what will happen to many departments including the Education department. So yes the Heritage Foundation wrote the playbook and trump will agree to carry it out.

Private schools for ALL (if you can afford it). For the rest of you: thoughts and prayers...minus the thoughts, of course.
I live in the Columbus OH area and it was reported this week they are also closing a bunch of public schools. Several elementary, a junior high, a few others.

I have yet to have an advocate of voucher programs explain how transportation is going to work. Or maybe they know that transportation or lack thereof is an obstacle, and that's precisely the point.

It's not just Texas. Columbus City Schools in Ohio (AKA North Texas.) just pulled the same thing with the same number of elementary schools.

So you vote for people who say they're going to cut funds for schools, & you get angry when these people do what they told you they were going to do?
Governor Greg Abbott has said he will veto any school funding increases without a school voucher program. School funding has not increased in 5 years.

Outstanding presentation !
I use "were you home schooled?" when I hear something blindingly stupid
Actually, a lot kids get promoted even when they can't read for the grade level they were at. 😂
There are some who do a good job of homeschooling kids. Of course, that is NOT universal. There need to be more consistent standards.
The quality of homeschool is as variable as that of the public schools. We home schooled our kids through the 5th grade and they entered middle school 2 years ahead in math and the schools in our town are very good.
54% of American adults have a literacy level of the 6th grade or lower. 20% are at 5th or lower.
As evidenced by comment sections everywhere.
