I remember watching this exact station in the mid-80s, we lived in San Jose at the time. Good memories! ❤

Honestly, I am not the least bit surprised that Robocop got marketed to kids. I mean, the guy already looked like an action figure come to life, and his design had a lot of kid appeal.

Well we found the exec who green-lit it. Still haven't seen the film, eh?

    3. KOFY TV 20 Station ID- The Look on the Dog’s face at 1:03 says it all. He/She is wondering what he/she is doing there and what’s in it for him/her.

KOFY is most definitely a Bay Area TV staple.

From challenging Bigfoot Monster Trucks to saving the world from Cobra alongside G.I. Joe, Sgt. Slaughter could do it all back then.

    1111! Nice Milestone!
RoboCop was my first R rated movie. I was 12 and my Dad had to sign a waiver for me to see it!

6:30 - Once talking on the phone in your car was a symbol of being a wealthy and inconsiderate jerk. Now, any jerk can do it.

5:56 - This woman seems like she’s afraid that the card company will reject her right there on the spot.

It appears the 1989 version of "Cartoon Classics" kind of did its own thing after ripping off WWOR's "Steampipe Alley" back in 1987 on volume 959!
What the heck is "Retail Entertainment"? That's the most 80s and California concept ever!

Reynolds Oven Cooking Bags- I agree with your comment of the idea of cooking food inside a plastic bag not being a good idea. I would think the same thing for cooking methods that people used to use years ago such as cooking food in a paper bag or a coffee can.

If I could buy a brand new waterbed for $399 right now, I think I would do it.

$399 in 1989 dollars is now $1,036 adjusted for inflation.

7:20 - Maestro Dick Bright here lacks the charm and subtlety of Stanley Spadowski.
