Monie Love is Old London BUT ..She's been rapping in a Yankee accent since *1988* .London never respected her for that & never forgot. All love ,no hate.
0:53 😱🤔 Errm, shot in the dark, but this conductor wasn't Indian or Pakistani by chance? Takes me back to such jokes as to why Pakistan don't have a football team... "Vut vut ding ding three ninety nine..."... Tut tut Miss Love! ...THANK YOU, COME AGAIN!!! 👳🙏
@@Laura-sg6ssThe "vut vut ding ding" quote, do U mean? The rhymes in between were Monie's improvisation were her's. But the whole "vut vut...", was kinda the racial (could be taken as racist depending on the context of how it's being used or who's saying it(??)) slur back then... A racial stereotype that people originating from that part of Asia would start off sentences in spoken conversations with "Vut vut ding ding"... Back at school, up in the predominantly white area of Cumbria up in the north UK (I was born '76), I was one of the very few of the tiny contingent of ethnic minorities (i.e. non-white) that would hear this all the time as a racial taunt... My father being Indian... I've never actually heard anyone with Indian or Pakistani roots start off their spoken sentences in this way personally. Racist ignorance really given into mythical stereotypical cliches of n from these times really. 🤷🏼♂️

I loved me some Monie Love, especially on the It's A Shame video. What a CUTIE!! And her excellent enunciation of words only added to her cuteness.
I don't care what her accent is...She is still the cutest thing.....to this day....
What would her cuteness be in spite of her accent??😂😂😂
That's so fascinating, how on her Albums she sounds like a New Yorker, but when she talks she sounds British.
Fake it to you make it early era she's from my area we never rated that

But then, kinda sheds reality on racism in the UK in them times... Question is how far on has this moved on?
Where does this quote come from?? Is this a cricket joke or something?
