- Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A healthy breakfast should contain all 3 macronutrients. This means that you must provide carbohydrates, proteins and fats.
Carbohydrates: are all cereals, breads, omelet, pasta, fruits, vegetables and legumes.
Proteins: basically products of animal origin, ie meat, fish, milk, egg and again legumes, which are of vegetable origin and contain both carbohydrates and proteins.
Fats: this includes oils, butter, avocado and oilseeds, that is, nuts, peanuts, seeds, among others.
