@AScottishOdyssey definitely. It's packed with history and you could spend weeks there and still not see it all. As always, thank you so much for watching Claire x
@@scotlandshistory I worked on the Links of Notland site for two months. That's where the Orkney Venus (Westray Wife) was found. They found that the years before I was there. When the dig finished for the season, I had a couple of days to explore Orkney. I managed to cram a lot in, but there is still so much for me to see.
@AScottishOdyssey there were replicas of her at the museum in Kirkwall for sale. That was the first time I'd heard of her. You were part of something truly remarkable, and it's a lovely experience for you to look back on. We just missed the reopening of the final excavation at the Ness of Brodgar but saw some of the artefacts at the museum too. Orkney is amazing.
@@scotlandshistory I saw the real Wife. She's kept in the museum on Westray. I even have a wee resin replica of her in my house. I do really need to go back.
Brilliant I love this, thank you. Hi from Ireland ❤ Oden I too love and Valhalla 😊
Thank you so much for watching the video, and welcome to the channel!
Cracking video, I will share this on my socials and hopefully get you a few more views.
@@BeforeCaledonia thank you so much. I appreciate that.
This brings back some very happy memories of Orkney. I haven't been there for over ten years. I need to go back for a visit.

@AScottishOdyssey Later in May is a good time to go.
Can the stone not be fixed.
It's part of the history so no, it won't be fixed.
