Thanks for taking the time to do a setlist that I was too lazy to do! And interesting note about performing both tunes. I was supposed to see them shortly after this gig, but they cancelled my city.

I don't think they ever played it live. Would be a good opening track, just like Neon Knights in the Dio era (which by the way was the opening track on the last few shows of the Born Again tour). I think Ian Gillan just couldn't sing Trashed live, or could, but wasn't satisfied with the result. This makes Trashed the only track off of Born Again that wasn't played live. The music video looks like they're playing it live, but it's just a music video.

The famous Stonehenge set. This was the tour that ended up being cut short so the Ian could join Deep Purple to record Perfect Strangers album released in October of 84. They originally were not going to call themselves Black Sabbath but the record company insisted on it. At the time this lineup didn’t get a lot of attention but later on I came to appreciate it for what it was. It was nothing more than a really cool collaboration with some amazing rock icons!
Last album for Bill Ward, except a track on some live album in 98 or 99 I think it was. Also Mr. Butler took a long break after this album and tour.
Deep Purple, Sabbath, Rainbow seem to have had this revolving door of sorts. Even Glen Hughes rotated through Sabbath. Crazy!
Thank you to the guy who recorded this treasure for us humans to be able to enjoy!

Ian basically gets to belt out a literal best of Sabbath 1970=1983. He did an awesome job. He had to try to make his own songs that were only known to be sung by the "other" two Metal Godfathers, Ozzy and Ronnie James Fn Dio. Ian had to be drunk off his ass in that pub to accept this gig.
BTW... Iommi was in another God like universe shaking level of bone crushing bad assness.
I've heard Geezer didn't like this tour, looked like he was having fun there.

Go watch the movie Spinal Tap, it became an almost literal parallel of what went on during this tour. What you can't see in this video due to it's low resolution, is all the dry ice being pumped onto the stage and clouding up everything, Ian literally was struggling to see his lyric sheets because of it. He was still learning the songs, other times his lyric sheets would get blown off the stage by stage fan. The dwarf at the beginning of the show was pushed off the 30 foot Stonehenge monument where they forgot to set the mattresses up. Ian's boat being blown up as a prank, killed all the fish in Richard Bransons Marina. But in the end it was an epic era of Black Sabbath.

Man this is such a gem. My first concert at age 15 (next day in Ottawa). Whoever recorded this was brilliant. Kudos!!! Some things the video can’t convey. First it was LOUD-the way metal should be. Second, those lights melted your face off-even from the back row lol. Third, I don’t think a reggae fest reeked of as much weed. First time I smelled it lol. Fourth, bongos?!?! Fifth, Zero the Hero was unforgettable even though the album hadn’t been released yet. That chorus!!! Sixth, Ian coulda tried a little harder on Heaven and Hell. Seventh, those druids unveiling the drum riser lights in Iron Man counted as a serious WTF moment back then!!

51:15 Heaven and Hell Ian screwed up the words 😂He had the words in front of him by that huge monitor below his microphone but sometimes he couldn’t read the words because of the smoke and the lights.
I think it would be hard as hell to remember every Sabbath song including the new ones from Born again and head out on tour all of this in a year.
That is why you don’t see him wondering to far away from that spot.
There are other songs he got lost on during this show and if you find any please comment with the song and a time stamp 😂

Man, I saw this lineup in Worcester Ma. There's actually a good recording of that show on youtube. The only problem is that Supernaut isn't included on it. I know they played it that night. They cut it from that particular recording which is a damn shame because it was a kick ass version with Ian on vocals.

ed steward from what I heard in 1983 the wheels were turning about a Purple reunion.. they were basically loaned Ian for 12-14 months.. so the purple reunion was gonna happen in late 1984-1985 anyway.. so it wouldn’t of worked for them to do another album and tour.. Ian blew out his voice on this tour with the banshee screaming and screeching he did on the album and tour for Born again

I do not, for one, think that the problem was that the band was
down. I think that the problem may have been...that there was a
Stonehenge monument on the stage that was in danger of being
crushed by a dwarf. Alright? That tended to understate
    the hugeness of the object.
