hey Sean, again, I agree with everything you say. you're absolutely hitting the nail on the head. we did Tully's on the Saturday and you're right purgatory is an incredible maze. it should be an incredible maze, but again we were batched much the same as you. too many people and it's such a shame because it's a really good maze again. the carving agree with what you're saying. you had a better run through than we did. there's too many outside spaces is too long and it didn't really reflect on what was going on so you're right on that we had brilliant time as always
Tulleys are an amazing event that smash it every year but purgatory can only really be enjoyed if you're secluded in your own group with no one in front of you and sadly The Carving didn't hit home for me within the outdoor spaces. Both a step down from Doom Town as that maze is head and shoulders above anything at Tulley's for me, it's a real jewel in their crown
@@LiftHillsandThrills you’re welcome, Tulleys Shocktober Fest is probably one of the best UK 🇬🇧 Halloween events 🎃👻 and I’ve never been to one and I know that. I agree with you 100%
It's always one of the best just needs a few more actors in those mazes, had some of the worst runthroughts I've ever had but know others on the same night had amazing run-throughs. Really is the luck of the draw!
@@Samlawson-lt5nw we’re always honest, that’s why we get invited, there are way too many ‘everything is amazing’ channels out there and I’m glad to say we’re absolutely not one of them!
@@CoastersandSessionsNo, but do them in a sensible order. Creepy Cottage Coven of 13 Haunted Hayride That has to be your starting order whilst the crowds go to the newer, popular stuff.
I was there on press night and have honestly thought I’d gone mad seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews! It’s definitely quantity over quality there this year I feel. Far too much dead space in the mazes, the acting mainly consisting of speaking in tongues (if there was an actor in the scene in the first place), several mazes with fog rooms, black walls galore, and generally poor levels of detail! Doom town was good at least, and the street theatre was good too, but I’m not sure it’s redeemed it for me.
Am I right in thinking that HHN have actors lip syncing over audio to save actors voices, we don’t seem to do that, if I was an actor my throat would be buggered after a night shouting at people
Great video as always, some interesting themes but I do think alot of the scare mazes arent really innovating and sticking with very tropey horror setups.
@@LiftHillsandThrills HHN looked fantastic again in your VLOGs this year. Even without the IP we could be doing something on that scale and with creativity.
Now I think the opposite to this , it seems they are getting more popular each year and more are appearing. I think that they have only just started and will just keep getting more visitors each year 😊
I definitely think it’s a case of many events doing similar themes then there’s others who have done really unique mazes. Definitely desensitised in some cases but they’ve absolutely not had their day in my opinion
@@kirantrivedi5831 impossible to say I’m afraid but others said certain mazes had loads etc and we didn’t get that in those same mazes so maybe there was a lot of changing around etc
They’re all along the same level I would say, they say The Cottage is the easier maze for people but I always find that one quite good with all the actors in there. Have a lovely time
Thanks to Tulleys for the invite and in return (as always) we provide our honest review of this years spooky event

I found HHN mixed it up a LOT with their themes, have to admire them for that

Do you think scaremazes have had their day? It's all pretty much the same thing. Need to come up with something new.
Now I think the opposite to this , it seems they are getting more popular each year and more are appearing. I think that they have only just started and will just keep getting more visitors each year 😊
It’s just because we’re all getting a bit desensitised to them.

Shame to hear about a lack of actors, do you think it’ll be lacking actors for the whole season, or do you think it was just for this day

Over 200 actors perform every night at Tulleys Shock, no exceptions
