With the event being absolutely RAMMED we prioritised mazes over anything else but we sadly missed one show and the Mawkin Meadow walkthrough but we still absolutely loved Fright Nights, further proving that Thorpe Park are leaps and bounds ahead of other Merlin parks currently!
Which is what they wanted from the event, for it to look good for the press :) that is why Hyperia opened despite being shut for 14 operating hours and 30 hours in total to remove a stalled train that was likely caused by operator error rather than a mechanical issue based on how quickly the 2nd train was loaded and operating after the park shut to the general public yesterday. Perception is everything with Merin, the reality is different. Glad you had a good night though; video still gets a like regardless.
@@Adam-eh1qd Not necessarily the maze experiences were no different than normal visiting days (bar a smaller queue) but it would be nice to go again to compare, the only big difference were the food stalls / party in the conference bit

the alton towers scarefest consists of people heading into the park and being genuinely SCARED & FRIGHTENED at the lack of investment, general decline of the park and how most of the coasters are down. I remember when Alton Towers Scare mazes were this good and then 15 years later we still have the same mazes... looks at tinys revenge...the attick.. **ok I'll go and take my chill pills now**
I really hope Scarefest can take notes to improve their event to bring it up to Thorpe Parks level, Hopefully Compound is on the same level aa one of these newer Mazes.
@@similarart1074 How it should be 😉 haha but genuinely they smashed it, other than putting the food outlets down that narrow street I genuinely had no other criticisms, the mazes are perfect for the Thorpe demographic and are miles ahead of anything Towers offers
Icl I think your intenee run through of Survival Games was just luck, as I know from previous years that it is a very consistent maze and I've seen vlogs from other creators who had pretty tame run throughs in comparison. Stitches is also inconsistent as there were barely any actors in my run through last year. Deadbeat looks decent tbf though it does look a bit tame. Tbh I'm most excited for Trailers and the new scenes (skipped that part as I don't want spoilers) as in general, that maze gives pretty good run throughs.

It’s the same from merlin every year press night looks absolutely fantastic loads of jump scares loads of roaming actors then comes to the general public fright nights and its crap hardly any roaming actors hardly any jump scares and just crap in general. Great vlog from you tho as usual
For me other than the fancy bar / indoor area the mazes were similar in number of actors etc other than Lucifers which seemed to have more than my previous non press visits last year
Should Thorpe Park have more than 4 Mazes in your opinion, Knotts Scary Farm had 10 Scare Mazes anf Universal Studios Hollywood had 9 Mazes. I know Thorpe Park in 2018 had a lot of Scare Mazes but maybe with new management they coild be even more higher quality than 2018
I feel as though they could have more but at the same time you might lose maze quality (it is Merlin afterall). This is my favourite Fright Nights in a longgg time and we didn’t even see Mawkin Meadow we just didn’t have the time!
