The exhaust sounds a great idea& would like to do the same on mine so keep me in touch with the progress & cost of the exhaust please, I assume your gonna use a satio 82b, that’s what one of my club mates said use. He flew the VQ spitfire with a 82b from TJD models & said it was a great combo & sounds just right👍

Heya Q, thank you for watching. I would have thought you could use the 13x8 Three plade prop, master air screw so a great sounding 3 blade. If choosing a three or four bladed propeller over a two bladed one, a very general rule of thumb is to decrease the prop diameter by an inch and increase the pitch by an inch. @@DadsRCHangar yes I think they are stickers with clear so you just cut them out peel and stick on I just had a good look at them shame much rather vinyl iron on but don't know how they would go with this type of cover it's not ultra cover but it does say to apply a bit of heat to take any wrinkles out all part of the biuld Chris cheers Rick

Chris have a look at laser the exhaust behide engine so be good to connect to exhausts that want to do a new engine not that pricey from laser and there real nice sound sure you love it
If still available, sadly not and rare to find. But an RCV engine would be fantastic completely in cowl and 2:1 output with a large 3 blade would look the bees knees. And easy with heaps of room left for your scale exhaust idea. Can solder one up out of brass and copper tube. Mount with silicon joiners for anti vibration. I have the VQ Manaro with an ASP91FS, fantastic model, but was not fond of hardware. Replaced all hinges with Dubro, and tank, ect. Otherwise, nicely build, and flush well. Good twenty minutes on 16oz. And Hello from little New Zealand

@@DadsRCHangar they used to be made in England in late 90s early 2000s. Theres two types. Rcv rotating cylinder valve. The bore rotates to create the port timing, no valves. But is a four cycle engine. One type is shaped like a traditional engine with piston 90° to output shaft. The other type, the one I suggested, the piston moves inside the output shaft, hence giving a 2:1 output. They'll spin a huge diameter prop, with high pitch for scale appearance, high pitch needed as only turning half running speed. Pentraic brothers TH-cam channel showed a really great rebuild of a few examples. Can still find them on Ebay, but dude, the price of them now is way above my pay grade. Would love me a collection of them. Very fantastic engines, especially for scale birds. Hope that helps. Search youtube and Google. You'll find heaps about them

How you getting on with this Spitfire build,. Have been looking into it myself,. As I'm needing a home for a Stinger 15cc petrol 2t that I brought for another project that didn't end up fitting. Have the idea of trying to do it in "Ace's high" scheme from the "Iron Maiden" album cover. Just to be completely different. Lol
chris on ebay theres a guy that makes 3D cannons and guns for spitfires nice size ones its called 3d clever take a look i got some for my mk xvi spitfire i had to dremal down to size to make go in holle as its a foamy one but they have great detailing on them
