Oh man! That's true! Comparing your results to someone whose been doing cgm for ages is a huge mistake I made too. All of us want and expect instant gratification!
I'll tell you my story as well. I started following CG with all the non CG products. 😭 I followed this routine for almost two months and then one fine day I literally cried while detangling my hair and that's when I stopped. My hair became extremely dry plus I lost a lot of hair because of that. You won't believe I would use one full bottle of conditioner but still unable to detangle them. It was that difficult for me. We all make mistakes a d that's exactly how we learn. I must appreciate you for such informative videos. Lots of love. ❤️ You look so pretty 🥺❤️

So a few months back I learnt that ketoconazole is a good chemical to treat dandruff in the hair. Since I have oily scalp (while my hair remains dry) I get oily dandruff. I've been using ketoconazole and salicylic acid shampoo for months now but it doesn't sud well so my sulfate-trained mind is never convinced that I've cleaned (despite the water after the first rinse coming off as slightly gray. Gross, I know 😂). To compensate, I use q tiny amount of Loreal professionals and then to condition I used to use the masque that came in the violent tub. After using the masque for a few years I still saw no difference in the quality of my hair, only saw it getting progressively worse. During the lockdown I was compelled to use whatever was available and I tried the Coconut shampoo and conditioner. It was then that my hair just went all out, got puffy and frizzy and wouldn't stay straight like it always was no matter the amount of conditioner I applied. I quickly moved back to loreal once it became accessible again only I still wasn't happy with how my hair looked. I had purchased the pink wala conditioner by Re'equil just to try and it had been lying in my drawer for days. At this point I had been somewhat double cleansing, once with ketoconazole and then with very little loreal, and then applying the heavy masque. Recently the masque got finished so I turned to my tube of Re'equil. It's been two washes with this new conditioner and almost no loreal shampoo and suddenly I have some very beautiful waves going on. As a child I had mad curls falling in ringlets around my face until I had my mundan and my hair came back straight. I think I may have 2B hair at least and I'm thinking to try the cure hair method to check, because even simple scrunching with just the conditioner and then while drying gave me waves and my hair suddenly feels like a hopeless mass of frizz and limp together. I'm hopeful and I'll start my CGM journey soon. Here to see what not to do. ❣
@@MichelleManuel SOOO... I finally got around to trying the CGM today. Used the True Frog shampoo, Reequil deep conditioning mask, and the Arata set of hair cream and gel to style. I may have messed up somewhere because my hair looks a wee bit stringy and way too frizzy BUT... I got some promising waves going on. I tried to finger curl and maybe I don't need that just yet because there's a lot of damage induced breakage in my hair (hard water and ocassional heat and and years of SLS and silicone ridden products to tame the frizz). Maybe I'll gently go into the routine and see if my hair likes to be this way and then proceed accordingly. HOWEVER! Had it not been for your simple demonstration of the CGM, sans all the many levels of works, I wouldn't have been able to pull this through. So many thanks are in order!! Hey. So cg doesn't allow hair colouring at all. Maybe mehendi and henna would be ok if you're following cg strictly. However mehendi and henna coats the hair and therefore the hair becomes coarse and dry. I don't follow cg to the t. I do a root touch up every month at home.
That depends on the curl pattern I think. It won't make the biggest difference but if you have a super loose wave pattern, the long the hair the more the waves will be visible right? That being said hair, is beautiful at every single length! ❤️
I have started cg 2 months ago.but now what I am facing that after the 2nd day of wash my hair looks crazy, tangled and pathetic, dry. Then when I go for next wash I loose many hairstrands like many!!! All because of my tangled hair.it took 2 hours in shower to completely ged rid of tangles. So now what will I do??😒
Hair getting tangled like crazy point to some issues with protein. Check my protein moisture balance series. Check your hair porosity. Is your hair protein sensitive? What happens when you perform the stretch test? Is it a case of high porosity hair struggling with moisture retention? Or do you have low porosity hair that doesn't want to allow moisture to enter your cuticle? Film forming humectants in your products would be key for moisturised curls. If you're losing hair like crazy and feel that it's more than the normal amount (ie more than 50 to 150 strands a day) you need to go to an endocrinologist and get some blood tests done asap. If you have a deficiency, you might need to start taking supplements. I'm quite worried about you Roshni. You've had some really bad experiences on CGM. Please understand that CGM may not be best suited to everyone. If this method is not working out for you, you could consider the possibility of quitting.
I have a video on how I pre-poo my hair with oil. Please have a look. I've also made a video on shampoos where I list from least cleansing to most cleaning. The more cleansing shampoos are able to remove oil if you pre-poo like I do
Time to ask yourself some questions! Do you have an extremely dry scalp? Are you using a pre-poo? Is your shampoo moisturising or too stripping? Do you have an oily scalp with lots of build up? Are you using a cowash only? Do you dry scalp massage everyday?

It doesn't have the percentage on them. The fact that you asked this question makes me want to caution you against buying an active like retinol without doing your research. My number one recommendation would be retino-A (0.025 percent) anyday. Retinol is not the same as vitamin C where we check for 5% or 10%. A lot of information would need to precede using it. Irritation vs purging. How to use an active. For someone who is a newbie & needs a no fuss cosmetic grade solution, I find the retinol serum and cream will be better tolerated because of the other ingredients infused in the formulation like jojoba oil, witch hazel, vitamin B3. This makes it better suited to a lay person as it would be better tolerated by someone who doesn't have the expertise/knowledge/patience to build up tolerance & use medical grade retinol. That being said, I would say people with oily skin would appreciate their retinol cream more than a person with dry skin. :)
