    LOVE the sounds of horsepower. Nothing beats the idle sound of a romping, stomping hot Ford FE. I could watch this over and over. THANK YOU for sharing this great video.

    MUSIC to my ears! It really brings back the days! Nearly all of them sound like mid sixties 427s! I had a 1967 Mustang with factory 390, and put a 427 cam and kit in it. (Found out while I was buttoning it up that I should have bought new valve covers to clear the adjustable rockers!) I still rate the FE block engines among the best vintage iron!

    I see 8 honda owners showed their disappointment when they realized their "cars" will never get the admiring looks like these old, classic FE-powered vehicles get everyday!

    Lot of impressive horsepower driving around at this reunion and proves that there are more classics out there that I was not aware, maybe Pennsylvania has more than it's share of men who love the muscle cars of the 1960s.

    few things are more elegant and beautiful and absolutely barbaric and wicked cool at the same time as a gathering of rumbling, cammed-up Fords

    A couple of those badasses are 13:1... There's ya 650hp... Torque figures are still being tallied for those beasts.... Then, you have to figure the AWSOMENESS of the 60's bodies they are featured in Each and Every Ford Classic design...

    Yea, I loved Ford as a kid. But the hard reality is that Chrysler/Mopar dominated the 60s on the street and strip.

    • @CoyoteFTW
      @CoyoteFTW 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No they didn’t, there was just more Chrysler and GM options. Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile and Chevrolet. Ford built way less 428cj and even less 429cj equipped cars. Chrysler had been putting 426ci equipped cars for homologation. Since mid 60’s. Makes since you’d see more performance models from Chrysler and GM. Then Ford. But when you do see one that Ford usually fastest car in town. Like Joe Ruggirello Sudden Death Mustang 2 fastest car Detroit street racing scene. Sure it wasn’t an FE but a 460ci BBF. No GM street car came close only one Chrysler car did they were both first steel legal 9 second cars

      My buddy has one here in South Carolina. We took the body off the frame, built custom tubular upper and lower control arms, took the tired 390 out and replaced in with a 429 out of a 1970 F100. It's a beast!

    Where were all these Big Block Fe's back in the day at E-Town? Seems to me except for Dyno Don and Bill Lawton, the car count was 300 Chevys and maybe four Fords.
    Nostalgia is great but I missed you back in the 60's.

      RSD are you kidding! I lived in Detroit in the sixties and seventies and FE's were the bane of the rest of the world!

    • @hdvictoryford5329

      They were badder than any BBc, the FE's were everywhere in PA, and my buddies were brainwashed into thinking the BBc was the engine, till they had it handed to them by a FORD. And to be honest most Fords were factored back in the day except for stock classes. Why, NHRA had to keep their BBc Chevy base so the Fords were made to carry more weight or NHRA exagerated their H.P. numbers. this event a Beaver is great don't miss the show, i don't.

      Chevy's outnumbered fords due to the cost of going fast... Build 3 chevs to 2 fords.
