    Ooh I should try this, I’m exclusively raising gupplers (what i call my guppy/endler hybrids). My breeding stock is a chaotic mixture of Japanese blue endler, fancy black lace guppy, black bar endler, yellow cobra endler, tuxedo koi guppy, and kohaku guppy! Lol. I’m afraid purists would flip if they saw my skittle pack gupps 😅😂

    I am getting some like that blue guppy by crossing the dragon genetics to the Japanese blue endler. They are amazing. Really love the rich color on that one though.

    I worked on trying to get emerald green guppies for about 3 years. I got the females to come out consistent but the males were either blue (60%) or a varity 35 % or a green with a blue shimmer (what I wanted 5%). I was tempted to bring in some endler DNA but...

    Since the females are already pregnant from other males when you pair them, how do you know at what point you actually are getting fry from your intended pairing? Also, do you immediately separate the fry out from the parents so they dont breed again back to the parents?

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I will watch them from their gestation events so first one plops. I can either remove and growout elsewhere which is highly likely or I can leave them out and wait until next drop since they should be different sizes. But if you have the space best to separate and growout individually. This way you can further collect desired genetics from separate broods to make the future parents for the strain.

      @@LRBaquatics my question to, will only the first frey drop be 'don't know who's my dad', cause I've heard somewhere that female can keep sperm in separate compartments and select?

    Is pink really a rare color for guppies?!? My local club had a gal bring in a bag of beautiful pink endler type guppies for Valentine's to auction. Should of grabbed them🤣.
    I have a trio of green Moscow guppies I've been wanting to add some more yellow into to see what groovy colors might come out. As far as I know the old lines of green Moscow are just a blue Moscow male bred with a female carrying yellow genes so I was thinking it'd be cool to add even more yellow. ✌️
    Very cool too see the Taiwan Lily flower. Lady LRB included a little cutting of that in our trade but I couldn't get it going. Maybe my water is too low pH or just not hard enough?

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it can be rarer we do see it a lot more now though. The Taiwan lily likes soft water. Did you plant or float it? Float starts tend to work best. But should still take in a tank unless there’s a lot of flow then a bit rougher for them.

    I have planaria in my ten gallon with ur yellow shrimp dont know how they got in there i was hoping if guppies ,endlers will be suitable for the job because my phoenix rasboras aint with it and i am trying not to add any chemicals😅

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Endlers and guppies could help just be careful with them with the shrimp. They may not even bother the shrimp and can be a food source for them. No Planaria product does work good.

    What is your process if they drop fry from other males they were previously housed with? Do you just let them get some size and then remove the ones that dont fit your desired color/pattern? They can remain pregnant for quite some time from previous breeding, right?
