Honestly bro, I think getting a perfect beehive is the hardest waving. I stopped waving for a month because I wasn't gonna scalp. I cut down to a 1 WTG open lever, did a wash n style and clay n lay. Came out great. Been about 2 weeks with minimal brushing, and the lower part is set in around my head. My crown is slightly to the left, but its easy to correct. My pattern is clockwise. It was set after I did my clay n lay. Its gonna be crazy after I progress in this 6 month wolf. When I had a beehive, I wolfed for a staggering 14 months and kept my progress

I know the hook is important, but hooking your left side too hard created that fork bro. When you turn the brush you're making it cover an increasingly wide surface area. It can't do that with the same number of waves. Eventually the waves get too far apart and a new wave pops up in the middle. Salute though, 720s are a beast.
Hey man i have a question about what do you do before you go to the barber and if it applies for all wave patterns. I'm a coarse hair waver going for 360 and i'm getting my first haircut saturday. My hair is already cleaned and i'm already doing my regular brush sessions daily up until that point. Should i comb wtg even if i'm a beginner before i go to the barber or should i just brush and let the barber handle it. EDIT: (I also failed to mention i already have ripples and some waves showing at the top)

I always thought you should comb wtg and atg when your wave pattern is in completely or is on the brink of being completely set in.
