"Is Child Endangerment a Felony? Child endangerment can be punished as either a misdemeanor or a felony depending on the circumstances of the case and state law. The difference between a misdemeanor and felony charge often rests upon whether the child was exposed to significant harm or placed in a particularly dangerous situation. Some states also differentiate felonies and misdemeanors based on whether the child suffered actual physical harm as a result of the adult's actions."
They're both felonies in most states. Also, a lot of criminal statutes have both misdemeanor and felony versions depending on the exact circumstances. If there are "enhancers" present then a misdemeanor can become a felony. For example, simple DUI may be a misdemeanor, but it can be enhanced to a felony if there is a child in the vehicle, or if somebody is injured, or if the driver has a prior DUI conviction.

The fact that battery to an officer is a felony and endangering the life of a child is a misdemeanor is exactly what’s wrong with this country
Agreed. They should both be felonies but the latter should be a longer sentence with a mandatory minimum
Thank you!!!! 😊

Her daughters gonna grow up with issues poor thing
You don't know that she abuses her family. There IS NO EVIDENCE. Don't jump to conclusions or imagine things that DIDNT happen. These cops went too far.
@@viviangarber7460 you've obviously never been verbally abused as a child.
Wrong!!!@@viviangarber7460
@@viviangarber7460 She's a drunkard, an abusive drunkard. The self pity and blaming everyone else is comical and sad. The cops were more than professional.
She endangered not only her daughter, but every child at that school.
I know and she only got probation. What a joke
That's a bit of an exaggeration.
@@FreedomAndJustice4All Are you just needing to argue with someone? I understand.🤗
Exactly!!!
@@hollyharris1874Definitely because your comment is accurate. Her running over curbs and falling over
I'm sorry, if you're so disgusted with this country, why are you here???!!
Why didn't the father take their daughter outside so she wouldn't be further traumatized by her mother's arrest?
The father has clearly normalized this behavior. He just wanted the cops to go away and hide the wife, because he’s an enabler in addition to being afraid of his wife.
i think he is trying to use her emotional distress to guilt the police into leaving them alone.
Because he’s a failure. An enabler. A sniveling little coward. Etc. etc.
Obviously it is a codependent family. The husband has no spine
I was yelling that the entire time. It’s like they were using her as a shield but that kid should’ve never been allowed downstairs. I couldn’t believe the father didn’t get her out of there
Daughter living with a DRUNK ABUSIVE MOTHER, HUSBAND SCARED OF HER . DRUNK DRUNK DRUNK ! I don’t care where you . come from .
Her accent is Irish... Drunk as Drunk.
Take that baby away from these people please
This is clearly an abusive relationship
Where's the breathalyzer?
Her husband said she was upstairs with a migraine and that she took some medication
Poor husband. He is probably abused.
Yes imagine how she yells at home if she's like that with the cops.
He’s a grown man, he’s just a pathetic example of a man.
Well, he did put a ring on it. If he wanted to be a man, a real man, he’d take that child from her and file for divorce.
@@Sconstablesame goes with every domestically abused wife
@@SconstableSome people believe in the vows of marriage before God. It takes a whole lot of faith to love someone for better or worse. I commend this guy. He's a God fearing man. That's definitely not a weakness. That's real strength.
I'm part irish, this is a disgrace against my people
He is in an abusive relationship. Feel bad for him and the kid.
Very Toxic Relationship
The kid has more sense than her mom.
I feel sorry for him too. Everybody saying he should grow a pair and leave obviously hasn’t been in an abusive relationship. Adding a kid only complicates the reasons people do things…. I hope he and the daughter find a safe place away from her.
It's all too sad.
So true. The husband was scared to go back upstairs. Feel bad for him and their daughter
That husband and child need to leave her. She is abusive and drunk!
Migraine meds affect people. Leave thus women alone.
She is a danger to the public and her own child by operating a vehicle under the influence. It is reckless and irresponsible. She doesn’t act like she has a migraine at all. Husband should’ve picked up the child or some other responsible adult, but it’s clear she is abusive towards her family. Her family wants to protect their family secret, but it only enables her behavior 😢 Jail time, suspended license, anger management and AA meetings are the solution.
@@foothillgirl7989yeah right. She is DRUNK if you believe migraine meds did this you are ignorant. She should have been arrested the moment they got there.
@@foothillgirl7989it she had a migraine she would not be able to scream like this. She shows zero symptoms of migraine. Just saying. She is a drunk and abusive and could have KILLED her child driving like that. Despicable standing up for this slime ball of a mother
@@Royal_1sShe got a slap on the wrist.
Get the kid upstairs!!! Cmon man
I know, right?!
She keeps going to her father for support
I know, my mother was like this...not a nurturing bone in her body 😢
@@lilphilosophy481 But the husband should have taken their kid upstairs and stay there.
@@dancepigloverthat would require independent action, which he isn't allowed to take
Poor baby! Messing her up emotionally! What a wimp of a husband! Grow some balls and stand up for your child and yourself!
