This has to be the one scenario that would have caused me nightmares.
I am surprised that a risk assessment wasn't prepared first and a rescue plan put in place should anything go wrong.
When I first heard about this 'lost sub' I assumed it was unmanned.
Surely it would be wise to end these 'tourist trips' to what is the grave of thousands of people. If they need to explore the remains of the ship they could do so just as easily by sending down an unmanned probe.

Just listen to the audio of that company exec bragging that they preferred inexperienced people and why.. And they had previously fired a whistleblower who expressed concerns over safety.

No need to see the Titanic via this deep dive mechanism, i can see the Titanic here on TH-cam, comfortably and safely.
Even if I'm offered big money, it's a no.

It looks as if titan will become part of that shipwreck unfortunately. Waivers signed = no lawsuit. On top of that you pay them a quarter of a mil. Hope they are found but even if they are on the ocean bed theres no way to bring them up in time before air runs out. What must they be going through, Rush might be telling them the waiver has come true to its word

You could rescue hundreds of refugees on small boats with much less effort. The search for the billionaire is a waste of resources. Unless of course other billionaires are put into small subs and sent on a mission to rescue their friend. Only the smartest people on the planet can succeed here.
