@@yojan69I'm not the person who made the original comment obviously. However, for me, Pierrick's "The Art of Effective Rigging" course was the starting point for me as an animator - it allowed me to animate the characters I myself wanted, not only what was available through free rigs. I'm currently applying for internships with different game companies as a final "assignment" from my school, and I've gotten great response so far. Definitely seems to be a huge plus to not only be able to animate, but rig as well. I haven't finished Pierrick's "Alive!" Course yet, but I'd definitely recommend buying that one as well based on the experience so far.
@@lnsomniaTV ohhh ty for sharing ur experience, it really conveyed the last bit of trust on quality I needed to be sure, so for sure I'll look into Pierrick's courses as soon as I'm able to afford some
Your breakdown of the creative process is impeccable! Thank you so much for this. It answered all my questions of how to apply the theory I learned in "Animator's Survival Kit" to Blender. I was hesitant to do all the squish and stretch things, because I don't really know how to rig stuff for that etc. but I'm looking forward to all the exciting and neat challenges this presents now, not shunning away from them.
Ha this video is priceless! I am running out on my maya student license and just came across this video by chance and i was thinking about how to transfer to blender and how to do it all
your videos are so detailed. i havent seen any other animator being so specific & Detailed about these u r so good, keep up the good work & u deserve more subscribers
You are a great teacher, and i am shocked you do this quality for free, Pierrick! I love your approach and the way you really explain everything, i just hope you will keep it up :)
Hey great tutorial I love your work, and I encourage my students to purchase your tutorials for deeper understanding of rigging and animation in blender. I would like to see a tutorial on multiple smears, if you are looking for tutorial suggestions. Thanks for the years of great content, your videos helped me get my first 3D job!
Awesome! Thanks so much for the great video Pierrick! I always love your well crafted videos and you're Alive course is fantastic. I've learned so much from it so far. It's a lot of great information at a great value. Thank you for everything you do! I hope you have an amazing rest of your week. 😃
@@PierrickPicaut_P2DESIGN Yeah, work keeps pretty busy currently! But, I'm actually getting back into 2D animation due to the low technical overhead. This video was super good, and I even went to Aaron Blaise's website and bought a few courses. I hope you're doing well - you're quality and productivity is a huge inspiration!
Awesome video tutorial, so much well taught information given in proper, concise & clear format... invaluable, thanks so much! I've learned and/or clarified so much concepts on that video. Great work! :)
I subscribe to Aaron Blaise's channel as well. He posts amazing videos. One of the voice actors on the cartoon series we're dubbing noticed the extreme stretch on one of the characters she was recording. I explained to her that it makes up for the lack of motion blur, and that this series in particular really pushes the squash-and-stretch. Some of the frames mid-motion are very funny and add so much dynamism to the movements, but they go by so fast the audience isn't consciously aware of them.
"Kiko" by MNC Animation in Indonesia. We're dubbing Season 2 for Netflix now. Season 1 was dubbed by another team in another studio, so I don't know how the animation of those episodes compares. Season 2 aired in Indonesia 2017-2018, so I'm curious to see how the animation in Season 3, which we will be doing next, has progressed.
Hello how are you very good tutorial I have a question I have seen your animation courses for blender and I want to know if your courses are also in Spanish subtitles I am very interested in sharing them I hope you can answer me
Squash and stretch. I would be most interested in a small course or video covering that. To make character animations, impacts, muscle weight/ jiggles realistic.
Thank you Pierrick for another very informative and great video! I have just one question. I have bought both of your tutorials; Effective Rigging and Alive. In which order should I do them, in your opinion?
lol So funny and Extremely great and elegant explanation. You are such a good teacher and creator...!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll watch the Olympic Games and soccer player with more concentration for being a good animator. lol.
since you said to always use "constant interpolation" because if not, it makes the movements look floaty, what's next? how do we make our animation smooth? do we add more keyframes in betweeen?
Hi Pierrick ! i have a question, should we move the root of the rig or not ? some people said that we shouldn't move the root.. but i think the root should be moved in animation production (not game) may you explain this one ?
hi sorry i have question for the easing in this tuto the easing out is for deceleration but in the animation survival kit its the opposit am little bit confused
I always mix them up 😅 But what matters is to understand the principle. I generally use « acceleration » and « slow down » when I do review or talk to clients
HI im new to blender and 3D in general and i have a problem when animating the key poses in blender see i create the main key poses but it also create me someone unwanted inbetweens the animation looks weird do you think you can help me ?
Awesome video Pierrick. I have a question about frame rate for game animation, why not animate at 60 fps? Is it more because of memory overhead or it's easier to animate at 30? Thanks.
Way too much frame to take care of. It's way easier to animate à 30 And.... useless at 60 since the computer will interpolate between your frames from 30 to 60.
Hi, first i’d like to let you know that i love your content, and i really really really want to buy your course. One thing, is your course going to go deep into the details of why animations are snappy sometimes ? I recently tried to animate a walk and run cycle and i got some popping knees ( not a rig problem, i used soft ik)
