No other sailing channel has captured my attention by first repairing a boat, teasing me with mini-passages, & eventually graduating to knitting, bread-making, and bird fishing episodes! Thanks for making us all feel like part of the Expedition Evans sailing family!!!
Kudos on the daily progress report. I bet when you make landfall you’re going to be more tired from the video and editing than you will be from the actual sailing. I can’t believe the great weather pattern you caught. Keep up the great work. I sold my Beneteau 50 a couple of months ago and I sit in my living room watching a 65” tv and watching you is almost like being there……..almost.
Those daily episodes are just wonderful. I don't think any channel ever brought crossing an ocean so close to the viewers and I am grateful that you take the effort, although it certainly changes your experience of the passage.
Hey Team Eva, Day 6 is a lot of ocean miles. As an old salt hope you don’t mind the following: It’s really good practice on a long offshore trip to do some preventative checks and adjustments. Adjust your mainsail and headsail halyards tension occasionally so they don’t wear out on the one spot. When you get the chance do a walk around and check what you can. Things will come loose and well you know why this is not good. Do a check of the steering.cables and bilges often. look up the mast to see if it’s still in column. It’s a good way to fill your days. You are going great.
Caught a bat fishing !! Hi you guys have been watching you for years and I love you all.❤ Back in the early 70s my friend and I were fishing The Walker River near Bridgeport California. It was evening when Mel cast his line with a lure of some type on it. At the peak of the arc a bat swept down to check it out. Lucky for the bat, the lure caught his wing. I say lucky because we put it in a cremora jar, brought it home, put it in an aquarium with a stick. When it became dark we'd turn on the porch light and catch bugs and drop them in the aquarium. His face looked like a Labrador Retriever, so damn cute!! Later put him in a big cage in the garage and he became Mel's daughter's pet. They had him almost 10 years!! She took the bat to school for show-and-tell.😅😂😂
Thanx again for these daily vlog's they are just Awesome! Jade the green bucket hat really looks cute on you! I enjoyed watching Miss Aiyana pop up out of her nest. 29:06 She looked like she was just carrying on a conversation & soaking in the tub!? Ha!
Cheers for another day! I came across this in my daily devotional and thought it a blessing for EVA, for she was once cast off. Cast me not off in my old age; As my strength fails, forsake me not... - Psalm 71:9
For a guy who hasn’t much time left, you guys bring a big smile to my face. My love ones see me smile but have no idea why. Thank you so much for letting me a part of your cruse. Mike
I really want to thank you for pushing out these daily videos especially when it’s rough like that and I know it probably would be easier if you did not push them out. So very interesting and again thank you. May God keep you safe and the sailing continue on ward !!! 🌬️🌪️😬😉😉👏✌🏼😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I look forward to the future, when you guys make it big, and then people go back and watch your whole journey. Then these videos will have the views they deserve. I’m obsessed, and because I can’t live this life, I live through you!
Jade is soooo relaxed now. I feel this passage is going to be even more relaxing and fun. Your sailing abilities will prevail and if not, looks like no biggie. You got this.
Love watching!!! Been watching every day for the new videos!!! Would love a definition day....all sailing definitions so when you say something I don't know I don't have to look it up!!!
Thank you for sharing your very raw footage of your travels. It’s nice to see what you’re actually doing versus putting on any kind of show for us. It’s been so much fun traveling with you. Hopefully I’ll see you tomorrow. Blessings and have a great night, Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊🇺🇸
I find myself looking forward to your daily updates. Thank you so much for sharing something that I will never be able to do in such detail. Fair winds and calm seas...
Ill be heading to the Azores next spring from Nova Scotia, your videos are fantastic and filled with a raw edge. Keep up the sailing and making great videos. One of the best crew ever, great chemistry and fantastic attitudes. Again keep it real love the format.
Sent a paypal because I just can’t commit to a weekly payment right now. But your videos are inspirational, fun, and just awesome. I am a little jealous as a Atlantic crossing is a big big bucket list item.
Good job so far the auto pilot is still working and quick action saved a sea bird. Top loading fridges and freezers are more efficient but a pain to use add something like a hook or lanyard to hold the door open at sea.
We called those Egg-In-A-Window things One-Eyed Egyptians growing up when we went to my grandparents! I've heard of the Toad-In-A-Hole version too. Very cool!
20:42 Gas House Eggs… not sure why, just that is what my mom called them so that’s what we called them. Also heard them called Toad in a Hole, but never Egg in a window but that makes total sense once you said it. Yum! Been enjoying all the videos (even though I’m about a week behind.)
I really enjoy these daily updates. I thought the pond was being unusually good to you, she served up a fair variety of conditions to me heading West to East. Yeah, wind against the stream makes for really short wave period and it sucks. Since you’d been on the same tack for a few days I was going to ask whether you were going to consider swapping your jib sheets port for starboard to share the chafe but since you’ve got it on the nose and are tacking uphill now there’s no worry. Ah, toad in the hole is an oven cooked dish consisting of sausages in a flour/egg/milk batter, served with gravy and whatever veg you fancy….or baked beans in tom sauce. Dead quick to prep and satisfyingly robust on a cold wet day when you just want to fill up your belly with warm stuff. The kinda food that my grandad slapped in front of us and said “There you go, wrap yourself around that, it’ll put hairs on your chest!” Recommended. Cheers guys, you’re doing great. 😎👍🍻
EPIC!!!!! I got to watch in the morning with my best friend coffee, and then in the afternoon with my homemade pizza. thank you for a perfect saturday morning and afternoon :) That bird on the line was pretty crazy lol
Lucky bird that you were so quick acting. Im amazed these small birds are seen so far from land, we had one that seemed attracted to the wind generator, until the rapidly rotating blades whacked him, fortunately he recovered after a few moments, then flew off.
Are yall friends with Lauren Landers? She reminds me of yall. Free spirit and tough as nails. Thank you three for taking me away from my problems ❤ love you guys and please stay safe ❤❤❤
Egg in a hole, 50yrs ago as a kid. Have several times confused Jade with Aiyana until I see their faces, voices n bods almost identical, Love them both!! The Dailey's are awesum and hope it calms back down abit for you'all.
Hi guys. Nice to see you ladies at the helm.😊 Bret must be sleeping 😅. How many more days to land? Enjoying these vlogs so much. Kisses for Penny and Dingo😘😘
A little advice on the bird thing... next time try bring bird in and wrapping him up in a towel and then bend barb down to get hook out less stressful for him
Hi Team, I've been enjoying your crossing, had a catch up on a few of the episodes last night that I've missed while I've been travelling the last few days. You mentioned visiting Denmark, please give me a shout if you are going to visit, I can try give you any help and advice might need. Safe travels. 😊
The Sun is always at 180 degrees to the rainbow arch. "Your amazing" that's not tacking that's tactful 🙂 Still appear to be heading for the UK. I might have to put the kettle on yet, milk and sugar in your tea? Toad in the Hole is sausages in Yorkshire pudding.
Toad in a hole is truly sausages in pudding, but some - perhaps former colonials - lazily use it to refer to 'eggs in a basket/hole/nest' or a number of other names. In the 40s, it was called 'gashouse' or 'gasthaus eggs.'
We call them eggy in a basket. Or eggs in a basket. I’ve always seen them with a round circle cut out. Ironically I made some for dinner just last week! Lol
I can’t explain how happy it makes me to know you guys love Harry Potter. Everyone I have ever liked in my life has loved Harry Potter 😂😂 it really should be the first question I ask in a date
Another great day at sea! Great save on the bird. Sorry you felt like crap today Jade! Eggs looked awesome and so did the burritos! Be safe and catch the winds. Love you all! Myk 🤗 🤗 🤗 💜 🧡 ⛵️ ⚓️
Might I suggest that you set at least one clock or watch to Greenwich Mean time. It helps with marking shifts and sleep schedules. I'm surprised as a pilot you didn't think of it.
Look forward to watching y’all’s progress each day, and I definitely need to try the rice bread! Have you tried using Thai sweet rice, aka sticky rice? It’s also referred to as “glutinous rice” even though it’s gluten free. It may have the extra stick/elasticity to help with the cracking and possibly extend the shelf life…
You guys are going to have serious sea legs by the time you reach land. The most seasick I have been was in a restaurant just after going through a storm and docking. Thanks for taking us along on your crossing the three of you are very enjoyable.
I love sleeping on a boat, choppy seas no problem. The issue I have is my legs still think they are on a rocking boat when on land and my normal bed sucks!, I miss the rocking motion.
Wow....... It took me all day to watch this because I was dealing with land lover crap...... I live out in the country and my well had an issue........ Kind of like your autopilot.......😂😅....... jk... 😅......but not kidding....... can't wait to trade my 26 macgregor for at least a 38'.........anyway I can't wait to see the next episode!!! Love y'all!!!
The salmon hats reminds me of this dolphin down the coast from here that brings rubbish from the ocean on its nose to trade for fish, pretty sure it's on TH-cam somewhere aswell
Hello in joying your video looks like I did not pay attention where you headed questing Greece 🇬🇷 or???? Good Luck😮😮😮😊😊 nice catch the next will be a huge fish!!! Was the best of this video catching this bird you made my day thank you .
No other sailing channel has captured my attention by first repairing a boat, teasing me with mini-passages, & eventually graduating to knitting, bread-making, and bird fishing episodes! Thanks for making us all feel like part of the Expedition Evans sailing family!!!
Bird fishing 😁
I'm just here for the thumbnail...and bikinis.
I love these consecutive day videos. Your channel has never been more interesting to watch.
Kudos on the daily progress report. I bet when you make landfall you’re going to be more tired from the video and editing than you will be from the actual sailing. Aiyana's laugh is the best sound ever.

Some sound advice there Chris.
What a good crew member Ayanna is, always that cute smile on her face 💗
She is absolutely adorable.

Well-done with the seabird rescue!!!

Those "two rainbows" are just the bottom ends of the same arch. Thanks for the relaxing sail...
I was going to say the same thing
Watching my favorite channel making rice bread for the first time. What a wonderful world.
Man, you guys make me want to learn how to sail so bad!
Do it!
Oh my gosh.... Dan Hill... haven't heard that song in years upon years....
The salad 🥗 with 🐟 🐠 🎏 🎣 🐡 looks soooo good beautiful plating skills
Jade is soooo relaxed now. I feel this passage is going to be even more relaxing and fun. Your sailing abilities will prevail and if not, looks like no biggie. You got this.

You 2 now 3 are AWESOME . Please be careful.. watch puppers thanks for real time sailing. Cant wait from day to day to hear you guys
Rainbow at an angle like that is uncommon. Thanks.
I find myself looking forward to your daily updates. Thank you so much for sharing something that I will never be able to do in such detail. Fair winds and calm seas...
Me too!
Love how Bretts aviation background has spilled over into their sailing with Jades "my controls" command.
Dayum... those doggos really got excited over that bird!
Ill be heading to the Azores next spring from Nova Scotia, your videos are fantastic and filled with a raw edge. Keep up the sailing and making great videos. One of the best crew ever, great chemistry and fantastic attitudes. Again keep it real love the format.
Hope we get to see some of that footage… I have always wondered what it would be like heading out from that far North
Your daily vids are fun . Really hope they increase your ratings. That’s why I’m writing this note. Every little bit helps. Much love from CANADA.
Love you guys for saving his life ❤
Wildflowers is my favorite song 😊 safe travels, love the videos!
Your joy and enthusiasm for boat life and each other is amazing.
Another GREAT video… okay “eggs in a window”
I making mine for the first time. Only have sourdough bread. Breakfast for lunch !!

LOVE YOUR VDS SOOO MUCH! I just LOVE how y’all show what actually happens!
Me too!
I’m here for my daily watch.
You're all a-tack-mazing!
I love it starting at 2:55 ! I enjoy seeing that sort of procedural communication when you are sailing and I don't think enough channels show it.
We called those Egg-In-A-Window things One-Eyed Egyptians growing up when we went to my grandparents! I've heard of the Toad-In-A-Hole version too. Very cool!
All asleep? Very unprofesional! Just loved the bird release and how about those eggs in a window ,I want to have lots of them!
When the girls are first the helm. It reminded me of one of those 50’s car scenes, where the scenery is moving in the rear. 😊
I’m here because of the thumbnail, I stayed for the adventure. New follower😅
I'm getting spoiled with daily snippets of your life. Thanks for sharing
20:42 Gas House Eggs… not sure why, just that is what my mom called them so that’s what we called them. Also heard them called Toad in a Hole, but never Egg in a window but that makes total sense once you said it. Yum! Been enjoying all the videos (even though I’m about a week behind.)
love these daily raw videos of the trip. You 3 are working great together.

The rainbow and Uke brings back good memories of Bruddah Iz. Mahalo and Stay safe!
Incredible! Bingeing all of these,
Amazing so much going on !! Love spending time with you all , everytime the red button goes on im so excited to get a glass à wine and sail alone !!
If Aiyana ever starts her own channel, I would love to know!!!
Loved this
Salmon hats and fishing for birds… can’t wait to see what’s next
Lucky bird that you were so quick acting. Im amazed these small birds are seen so far from land, we had one that seemed attracted to the wind generator, until the rapidly rotating blades whacked him, fortunately he recovered after a few moments, then flew off.
That poor bird will never trust a fish again. Another memorable adventure for all involved.

A most Excellent episode. Love the "raw" aspect to these sequential posts.
A little advice on the bird thing... next time try bring bird in and wrapping him up in a towel and then bend barb down to get hook out less stressful for him
Looks like y'all are still having a heck of a good time.. Stay safe and take care of each other.

These are the highlight of my day.
Awesome video guys!! Great bird release!!!! See y'all tomorrow
Mom would use a drink glass to cut the hole in the bread, egg in a nest. Fry the circle to make extra toast for the yolk.
Grew up in Seattle and the salmon hat story is accurate.
This is awsome joining your crew everyday as you sail across the atlantic Maybe other sailing chanels will follow your lead
We call them eggy in a basket. Or eggs in a basket. I’ve always seen them with a round circle cut out. Ironically I made some for dinner just last week! Lol
Loving your guys voyage trip. Looks like you are having a fun time!!😁✌
Love the daily updates, you guys are doing so well on your passage, love the meals, yum.. 🎉🎉🎉 I'll have to look you up on the SV tracker
Good videos watching you sailing the Atlantic. you are making look easy!!
Your singing qualifies for a record deal. 😂 good to see you all have fun!
Loving the daily updates, my F.I.L a lifelong sailor taught me about the egg in a basket recipe.
I can’t explain how happy it makes me to know you guys love Harry Potter. Everyone I have ever liked in my life has loved Harry Potter 😂😂 it really should be the first question I ask in a date
I'm loving you daily vlogs.., Love you guys!
Poor birdie 😢. I hope he’s going to be okay.
Hope everything continues as safe as it has been thusfar and no more birds were harmed in this crossing :)
What is the difference between caught fish that is released and this bird?
Great job releasing the bird👍👏
Another great day at sea!
Great save on the bird. Sorry you felt like crap today Jade!
Eggs looked awesome and so did the burritos! Be safe and catch the winds. Love you all!
Myk 🤗 🤗 🤗 💜 🧡 ⛵️ ⚓️
Love the daily video look forward to it each day

Strongly agree. There must be a standard to which all else relates.
Enjoying the sailing episode. Be safe.❤
Enjoying this passage with you. Safe travels ❤️

Great job the way you looked after the bird 😮
