This episode was a live interview with perfumer Geza Schoen to coincide with the release of three additions to his Escentric Molecules range: Molecule 01 + Mandarin, Molecule 01 + Iris and Molecule 01 + Patchouli. Together, the three scents mark the launch of the M+ collection.

wow very good concept, genius the mandarin intrigues me, would it be close to Terre D'Hermes which I love.
I would say no. There’s none of the flinty vetiver feel.

No, there’s no specific reason at all. I guess it’s just that on both occasions so far, the focus was supposed to be on EM. And yes, I’d love to interview LP.

I wore molecule 01 to work today and the customers were like omg what is that smell. It smells wonderful they couldn’t figure out where it was coming from 😂

i have Molecule 3 thats different to Eccentric 3 and its quite good.
i'd like to know wich variant is the greenest and most sparkling in the line.

Oh, man! So sorry I missed the live stream of this. I'm a bit of a Geza Schoen fangirl. If I was pressed to say what my signature fragrance is, I'd say Ormonde Woman, but I've never met a fragrance of his I didn't enjoy. Thanks so much for the excellent interview, Persolaise!

Very intrigued by the Iris one. Curious how it compares to Ormonde Jayne Orris Noire and Iris Vanille. I seem to hate heavy Iso E Super except in Geza's hands!

Funny, I have an predominately Iris perfume, it was a blind buy. I can only wear it with Molecule 01. It’s Elisier Poudre. For me, it’s missing some woody grounding. I’m looking forward to trying these new creations.

'Yeah but then civetone is great' 🤣 What a turnaround! A wonderful interview D. Loved watching Geza's reactions to you throwing out those molecule names. Should've added vulcanolide or galaxolide. 😄 Just keep pouring them on until he flinches. The single molecule stuff wasn't my thing but I can't wait to try some of these!

Geza is my type of perfumer. I make perfumes too, though I am only starting out but his attitude and describing in simple terms is so refreshing. No fancy or airy fairy descriptions just matter of fact but no less interesting explanations. Just refreshing.

Great video. I was impressed that EM won't churn out new fragrances just for the sake of it. There are too many meh releases especially from luxury niche houses.

I initially wanted patchouli and iris but Geza 's description of the mandarin has me intrigued about it as well. I can't wait to try them!
I’d say the mandarin is the most surprising. The citrus note lasts much longer than you think it’s going to.
