I think Gaelic is the sweetest language in the world...and you are really born to sing!!!!!Karliene please do other Gaelic songs!!!Greetings from Italy!!!
Karliene, I am also in love with the books, just finished the last one. It is truly an amazing story of devotion and deep love for one woman only. I wish I was that lucky, but not many of us find true love and soul mates in our lives. I believe this is why the show and the books became so popular and Jamie is so beloved by women. He represents every woman's wish to be loved so deeply and sincerely.
Every time I hear your sweet and haunting voice, something runs through my spine and tears come to my eyes. In this song, the part when you speak with that magical scottish accent made me shiver. Keep sharing your beautiful music, please. And I would love to listen The Dance of the Druids sung by you. You inspire me every day. Love from Spain :)
That was absolutely beautiful, Karliene. This has to be one of my new favourites. I, too, love Outlander. I read the books when they first were published way back in the day. You have an incredible way of telling the Outlander story through your voice, your lyrics & your creativity in a way no one else can do. At least none that I've come across thus far. This is why I have my Karliene playlist. Your beautiful voice and original songs help get me through my workday. Thank you for what you do. :-)
Love it...it's amazing and haunting at the same time. But I can't shake off the feeling that the english part is spoken/sung by Lotte Verbeek (Geillis) :D
Beautiful!!! Whenever I hear your songs I feel like I'm travelling back in time when elfs and fairies still roamed the land. Thanks for all the great songs. Keep up the good work bard of modern times!!! :)
I cheered out loud the moment I saw that you'd uploaded this! I'd been hoping you'd do this! Absolutely beautiful, your voice is wonderful and can bring me to tears! :D
When you began to speak English.. It continues to spark inspiration in me.. One of them being that I'm reading an Emelas Tabula, learning more about the winged ones of Eldeen ( From a game series called YS )
This is beautiful. It makes shivers run down my spine. Both your reading and singing. It's just so...oh I don't really know how to describe it. Mystical?
You are AMAZING! I've been listening to your music all morning and I wanted to message you because I wanted to say how awesome you were and there wasn't a specific video that I wanted to compliment over another but I couldn't find a way to message you (that might be me being technologically challenged...) But, in short, you are a phenomenal talent. So impressed with all you've done.
Wow, sounds wonderful =) I'm always so happy when I listen to your songs, since years now! Your velvet voice is so nice to listen to... makes me dreamy :3
I really like your voice girl! Outlander are the best books in my whole life, the best Show and GoT too...... but your voice in my mobile... I just must have! What's the pity, I love Gaelic language and translation is missing here ..... It makes no difference .... you are the top! :P
I love the scottish accent! Usually you don't really use it, but please, please speak with that accent again! (and yes, I'm one of those People that say "I don't care what you say, just keep talking!"
+Karliene could you put up the gaellic lyrics? I would love to practice my singing with this song yet i can find the lyrics nowhere on the internet. would be eternally gratefull!
I really love you voice ! And god ! Gaelic is such a beautiful language ! I wish you could sing more gaelic songs (I'd love to hear you sing an eala bhan or fear a bhata :) )
The Impish Dullahan three years too late but here are the Gaelic lyrics and the actual, literal translation. The translation given by Karliene is Jamie's one which is a bit paraphrased 1. “‘S mise bean Tighearna Bhail’ ‘n Athain “I am the lady of Baile An Àthain. Tha na Sìth air mo ghoid a-rithist, a-risthist,” The folk have stolen me again, again,” Tha mar g’eill gach clach ga ràdh. it is as if every stone is saying. 2. Gu h-obann an sin, dhorchnaidh an oidhch’ Suddenly then, the night darkened ‘S chualas fuaim àrd mar thàirneanach And I heard a loud noise like thunder ‘S thàinig a’ ghealach a-mach And the moon came out Fo sgàil nan neòil. From the shadow of the clouds. ‘S bhoillsg ì air a’ chaileig And it shone on the damsel. 3. Bean Bhail ‘n Athain ì fhèin a bh’ann, It was the woman of Balnain herself that was there, ‘Sgìth ‘s claoidht mar gun d’shiubhail i fada. Weary and worn as she had walked far. Bean Bhail ‘n Athain ì fhèin a bh’ann, It was the woman of Balnain herself that was there, Ach nach b’urrainn ins càite an robh i But she couldn’t tell where she was No idir mar rinn i tighinn. Nor even how she came [there].
This is an absolutely beautiful rendition. But why is it that I can't find the Gaelic lyrics anywhere? I'm trying to learn the language, and that would help a lot.
Heya, I wouldn't presume so much as to ask if you did requests but I found your original songs (Smaug, Dany) so enchanting I just had to ask if you had any such plans in the works for something about the unloved Baratheon brother, The King who still cared ?
please no not a Stannis song .... :( well there is the red woman song which is technically about Stannis ... it would be nice though to have a jon meets khaleesi love song somehow haha
Beyond beautiful. I love your voice no matter what language you sing in, but Gaelic makes it extra special. Did you learn the lyrics phonetically or can we find them somewhere?
Karliene: You added the acoustic (voice only) track used in this video to the ITunes upload, It's impossible to pick only one favorite song of yours, but that pure voice track may well be mine. I wish you would consider making the voice-only tracks for other of your songs available to buy or play on TH-cam. . I love your published songs with accompanying music (I particularly love your piano), but YOUR VOICE IS THE PUREST, MOST BEAUTIFUL MUSICAL INSTRUMENT I HAVE EVER HEARD. I think a lot of others would agree. How about a test case? Put a couple of your existing songs acoustic tracks out there and see what feedback you get.
I just realised that you replied to my post! I suggested you did this! -flails at gleefully- Thank you so much for doing it! Thank you! Like, share and favourite!
John Swartz You were the one who gave me that little nudge to get it recorded. I'd been contemplating recording it ever since I heard it in Episode 3 and then when I bought the soundtrack, it became one of my fave songs. I just love the Outlander music so much. Think i'm going to do 'Dance of the Druids" next because that song is unbelievably beautiful. x
Hey there First: amazing song and beautiful voice! Now... I'm in a real desperate position as my singing teacher really loves the song and wants me to sing it at a show but even 2 years later nobody seems to have the Gaelic lyrics which we need! Would you be so kind and post them? I'm from Germany and even though I study the English language and gaelic as well it's still kinda hard for me to just write them down after listening to your song a billion times
Dear Karliene, I know you probably wont read this but..but could I learn your version of this song to sing for my school variety show? If I can't, I completely understand, I just love your music so much and just want to share it. Sincerely, Katie.
Love this song so much. I don't care much for Outlander (too much of a chick flick/show) but this song is really beautiful. Are you going to do any more Game of Thrones stuff? That's what turned me into a fan of yours and I miss it so much! Just curious.
I think Gaelic is the sweetest language in the world...and you are really born to sing!!!!!Karliene please do other Gaelic songs!!!Greetings from Italy!!!
Sooooo beautiful!!! Hearing your voice sing in a different language is glorious!!
Sharm I couldn't agree more. I adore her voice, I do hope she puts out another cd soon, so I can buy it too.
Every time I hear your sweet and haunting voice, something runs through my spine and tears come to my eyes. In this song, the part when you speak with that magical scottish accent made me shiver. :-)
I love how creative your music videos are! Your voice is so soothing, yet heavy with hurt in this song, I'm both relaxed and heartbroken.
You sound so natural. Your harmonies are incredible. Thank you for this, Karliene :)
Love it...it's amazing and haunting at the same time. But I can't shake off the feeling that the english part is spoken/sung by Lotte Verbeek (Geillis) :D
Geillis is insane.
Beautiful!!! Whenever I hear your songs I feel like I'm travelling back in time when elfs and fairies still roamed the land. Thanks for all the great songs. Keep up the good work bard of modern times!!! :)

KittyKat90 Thank you so much sweetie. xx
Could anybody tell me which language is that? I just love it. Thank you!
Hi Karliene, thank you for sharing your beautiful rendition of this song! Is there any chance you could share the Scottish Gaelic lyrics? Thanks :)
I really like your voice girl! Outlander are the best books in my whole
life, the best Show and GoT too...... but your voice in my mobile... I

is missing here ..... It makes no difference .... you are the top! :P
Lovely as always
Gorgeous version, as usual!
So beautiful. It made me cry !!
Please, do songs daily lol!!! I can't get enough of your beautiful voice!!!
Very beautiful song! One of the reasons why I love the show! Have you also thought about doing the song An Fhideag Airgid?
why does everyone refuse to put gaelic lyrics anywhere? o.o
I'd love to try to pronounce gaelic and such but they're literally nowhere to be found :|
I asked the exact same thing, got no answer unfortunately.
Arianna Deligianni It's sad :/
I thought it said "garlic lyrics" for a seocnd...
which part? She doesn't say those in any part .-.
Thought as much .-.
I love the scottish accent! Usually you don't really use it, but please, please speak with that accent again! (and yes, I'm one of those People that say "I don't care what you say, just keep talking!"
Yes agree !!!
+Karliene could you put up the gaellic lyrics? I would love to practice my singing with this song yet i can find the lyrics nowhere on the internet. would be eternally gratefull!
sweet and beautiful
WONDERFUL!!
Excellent! I loved that it is in gaelic! I do not think it would be quite so powerful in english,
I really love you voice ! And god ! Gaelic is such a beautiful language ! I wish you could sing more gaelic songs (I'd love to hear you sing an eala bhan or fear a bhata :) )
It would be cool to see subtitles on this. Just to see what the Gaelic is.
Braibow, The Fifth Great King The part where I'm speaking at the end, that actually is the English translation of the song. :-)
Karliene Ah ok, I'm still interested in seeing the Gaelic written out as it's not self-evident in its speech.
The Impish Dullahan three years too late but here are the Gaelic lyrics and the actual, literal translation. The translation given by Karliene is Jamie's one which is a bit paraphrased

Bellisimo!!!
Any chance of a Gaelic Lyric transcribe?
(Phonetic would be good)

This song is so beautiful, and yes we Outlander lasses wish we could trade places with Claire.

You rock, Karliene!
Fantastic
Do Scottish Gaelic songs feature alot in Outlander? Or did you just translate them? Either way, bloody brilliant work.
thank you TH-cam, Karliene started to sing in my TV and I thought how I couldn't know about you.
Oh my lord. Beauty
yes been waiting for this :D
como amo escuchar tu voz ♥ es suave y tranquilizante :3
I just realised that you replied to my post! I suggested you did this! -flails at gleefully- Thank you so much for doing it! Thank you! Like, share and favourite!

Would you do "the wolven Storm" from the Witcher 3? (The song priscilla the bard is singing about Geralt and Yennefer) :D
Fantastica❤💖💖💖
Oh, please do Dance of the Druids!!!
You sing a number of songs in the Gaelic...do you sing any in Welsh??😊
Hey there
First: amazing song and beautiful voice! Now... Sincerely,
Katie.
Could you write the lyrics in Gaelic? I can not find it anywhere.
Thank you very much!
Hey Karliene (or anyone else), do have the Gaelic lyrics for this?
Why aren't all of your songs on your playlist?
May I get the lyric of the poem ?
where do you learned that lyrics?
where i can see the lyrics?
This tells me you could do so well with Quenya and the languages of the Valar...
I don't see it up on iTunes?
meggieandresa Oh yes, sorry, it actually take a bit longer to process on iTunes. It will probably be up next week at some point. Keep checking. xx
Love this song so much. I don't care much for Outlander (too much of a chick flick/show) but this song is really beautiful.
Are you going to do any more Game of Thrones stuff? That's what turned me into a fan of yours and I miss it so much! Just curious.
Outlander is life, Sassenach.
Love
Do you have the Gaelic lyrics for this?
her scottish accent is gorgeous
what language is that? Welsh or irish
Scottish Gaelic, I would assume. Outlander is a story based in Scotland, and Karliene is from Edinburgh (I think) :)
***** It's Scottish Gaelic. :-)
This is fucking amazing!
You sound like gaelis (idk how to spell her name) when you spoke at the end of the song
i love the accent even ore than the british one :))
Guys, I think the spoken stuff is a translation!
💙🍀♪
