He's an actor who has transitioned into podcasting. My favorite acting project he was in was Parenthood on NBC. His podcast is pretty great too.

I think they need someone willing to disagree, Whoppi/Joy/Sara/Anna/Sunny tend to have the same opinion. Alyssa offers resistance but they need someone else tbh (doesn't even have to be a right wing person)

neither is JVN who apparently is an absolute monster on set to both cast and crew, so I'll take Dax's clumsy but well intentioned vibes anyday
I listen to all of his shows and while that episode made me so uncomfortable when I was listening, I don't think Dax was being mean at all, he likes to "dance" in conversations and discuss topics and disagreements and ask questions, I think that he just forgot that JVN wasn't on as an expert(which happens on the Wednesday shows), just as a guest, and that they were discussing something very personal and traumatic for JVN. I wish he would have come to that realization earlier in the conversation, because he really missed the opportunity to then bring it back to a comfortable place in the conversation and give us a great episode with JVN. I thought JVN brought up so many great points and I think probably did a lot of great work at answering some questions the general public might have around the topic of trans people and trans kids in particular. I hope that Armchair Expert might bring on a trans expert that knows what they are getting into ahead of time to have those conversations.
