I love how you make your journal and I feel that you do what you feel is right for you. In my opinion there is no right or wrong way. All I can say is you are amazing and you do you. Please when you can because I know that you are busy at times put more videos up I really do appreciate you very much. I think you are Amazing! I love your nails beautiful. 🥰🤗
These are the most beautiful journals I've ever seen. Appreciate your sharing your knowledge and techniques with us. You are an artist unlike any other I've seen. Thank you for sharing. New subbie
Journal drama?!? This is the most relaxing hobby in the world. The people that can make drama about it need to examine themselves. I happen to agree with you. I make my journal pretty thin at first and by the time I’m done with it, it will be quite chunky 😂 I’ll have to tag you on IG when I finish the one I’m currently working in. It’s getting difficult to write in cuz one side is almost vertical if I don’t clip it or hold it down!
Eh, the human condition, in any group there will inevitably be some drama! I’m told the crochet community can get quite spicy 😂 and yes definitely tag me! (Maybe send a message as well in case I don’t see, my Instagram notifications are all over the place!)
Oh Grace, you’re journals are absolutely stunning. Who would have thought that it all started as an Amazon package. Brilliant. Can I also say that I love your hair colour it reminds me of how my Mums hair colour used to be when she was young. Looking forward to seeing more videos xxx
Grace these journals are mazing! Stunning doesn’t even come close! The colours and everything are perfect. I absolutely love them both. You are so talented. Take care xx
I loved watching this video so much! Thank you so much for sharing your process of making a curved spine. I think you explained it very well. You gave me the courage to try making one myself! I loved how your covers turned out. Adding all the gold flakes, splatters, etc. made then so unique and GORGEOUS! ( I'll remember not to breath the next time I use my gold flakes. 😂) BTW...my cat also let's us know when it's time to go to bed.) ❤
Gorgeous! I have never used gold foil flakes but live it on here and am thinking I need to give it a go. Also, I completely agree with you about making sure a journal has lots of room to grow at the beginning. The filling in should happen as one works in it, in my opinion.
Love Love . First time seeing you and liked and subscribed right away by seeing your intro even before i saw your process. I've been collecting items to use for a forest journal and i gained much inspiration watching you. You have such an amazing mind for creating such beauties. Thank you for sharing your process and explaining what you are doing along the way.
If you do not have a book binders cradle, a tip I got, was to use a really thick book, when this is opened in the middle it creates a v shape, and I make my holes by pushing through, it's much easier than trying to do it on a table. Also clip your pages, and I leave a needle in ready threaded until I get to the sewing in stage. Hope this helps. These journals are truly gorgeous ❤
Beautiful! People always apologize for bkgd. noise. Unless, there's someone right next to you mowing the lawn, we really can't hear any of that bkgd noise. No worries! We're just concentrating on the process. Thanx!
Hard agree on the chunky journals thing! Imo a "newborn" journal should be on the skinnier side, bc i personally love adding A Ton of bulk (like i wouldn't hesitate to add cabochons like yours on the inside on a sturdier page). So if a journal is gaping to begin with, it would literally never close when i'm done with it. Like it would be open 360 degrees wide! As for the gold flakes - does wearing some sort of facemask help at all with those? I'm thinking it would stop your breath from blowing the stuff around and also prevent you from inhaling a bunch of glitter, but i've never worked with them so i don't know how helpful it'd be
So glad you understand! I love a chunky journal but I like it to be made of my creative chunk 😂 plus they can be so hard to work in when they’re gaping, if one of mine started chunky I’d not make it half way before I got too frustrated working with it. The face mask is actually a good idea - though breathing in particles has never been a problem for me it’s just they tend to blow all over the place from the slightest bit of air! And forget about having a fan on in hot weather, gilding flakes should be a winter only supply 😂
I like to leave journals with plenty of space to work in. These are lovely x

I agree with you, they load way too much sometimes then there's no room to add anything else, lovely pages ❤❤❤❤
These are some of the most beautiful junk journals I have seen! So creative!
I love your journal! Especially impressed by how you made the cover. You have inspired me to try to make one. Thank you!

Thank you so much! I think my hair was partially wet from a wash when it shows in this video so looking better than it usually does 😂

Let me know how your curved spine goes! I need to find a new kitchen roll now - the ones I usually get have made the tubes smaller 😂

Apsaluty Beautiful
Ladies: A mini shelf on its side can be used as a book cradle 🤔😮 you're welcome 😅
Such a good tip!
