The developpers, wanting to make the most of the new system, added the option to rotate the evidences (which would become a staple for games following the original trilogy) and to take fingerprints by blowing onto the mic. This is also the reason why the quality of the animations have been highly improved.

In order to completely get rid of a fingerprint, you would need to get rid of every layer of skin up to at least one millimetre deep. Anything less could permanently scar the fingerprint, but not erase it from the finger. So the regrown skin wouldn't have the fingerprint on it.

Now, technically I would say that prosecutors probably have a better reputation if they convict people, but if they convict innocent people then it doesn’t really help them. Also, Edgeworth is still closing the case in most instances since they find the actual culprit and convict them.

As impressive as it is this case had tons of filler IMO. It feels like it should end three hours sooner than it actually does because it just keeps going over the same bits over and over, or they take half a court day to prove nothing of substance. This chapter was a total slog.

The prosecutors job is to try and prove the defendant committed the crime, if they were allowed to go picking on whoever they want then the jury wouldn’t get a thorough enough understanding of the case. There is only ever one person on trial, and that trial is about them. If the prosecutor could get distracted by anyone else that seemed suspicious noone would be properly tried.

Honestly I never see anyone fall for Gant's trap here, they usually realize Gant is pushing them to reveal evidence and they hide it for a minute. But I have seen people fail the second half of this instant-death trap by hiding the cloth both times.
One is trying to defend and save his client and is exceptional in loop jumping and logic cracker, while the other has an abnormal passion for his hatred of crime. On two opposing sides of law, working together to crack down the culprit.
I think it would be really funny if there was a case where a person just kept saying "Dude I'm guilty. Send me to jail", and they actually were guilty. No blackmail or anything, they just killed someone and then confessed to it.
the other cases were made for the GBA originally while this one was exclusive to the DS release which explains all the DS specific mechanics they add in this case.
Fun fact, that's because this was the first case designed for the DS! The original trilogy was initially released on GBA in Japan, but were then remade for DS for international release. This case was added in to the DS version to show off the capabilities of the DS for improving Investigations (especially in preparation for the fourth game in the series, Apollo Justice)

7:18 usually when you're securing a crime scene, the tape goes out way further than that. Even if they don't know for sure if it needs to be as large as it is, they'd rather have the tape go out too much than too little because of the possibility of evidence being disturbed. The perimeter of that crime scene would probably go across most of the floor of that parking garage, because a suspect could've dropped weapons or anything. Idk how it works if they've already apprehended a suspect, but that's what I was taught in forensic science class in high school so it HAS to be true

These days chalk (or tape) outlines are very rare, if not totally obsolete. If I remember correctly, the body was outlined before being taken away, to help investigators remember where the body was and what position it was in. But in this case, it's kind of hilarious that they have the tape outline of the body literally hanging out of the trunk.

There isn't a second judge until game 3, and even then I don't think he was ever over any trial Phoenix was in. I don't think Phoenix had to deal with another judge until game 6.

Yeah this case is really long (definitely the longest feeling of the first two games), has a lot of loose ends in the beginning but at the end makes a lot of sense and is a really interesting story. It’s crazy that RT was able to fit the case into a 2 1/2hrs video with the original vods being about 7 and 9 hours respectively with the case still making sense, big props
Despite being literal hours, the quality of these edits never fail to amaze. Upon rewatching in headphones, I was shocked to realize that they actually made RT’s voiceovers for the courtroom chatter at 1:07:09 into *surrounding sounds.* If that doesn’t scream care and attention to details, I don’t know what does.

Why is watching RT play Phoenix Wright so goddamned comfy? Now I wished he did more anime-styled story games just because of how pleasant it is to watch.
A thing I really like about Dan’s joke voices, especially in this playthrough in particular, is that after making the joke voice he slowly begins to solidify it, unconsciously. Take the Goofy judge for example, it lost a small brunt of the goofy voice, merging with his normal voice to become the judge character’s voice. Sure, there are certain moments where he specifically exaggerates it, but just that little bit of normalcy in the voice makes it so much more authentic.

You know, I've never played one of these games, nor have I really watched much gameplay of them. When I clicked on this video despite knowing it was over two hours long I thought I'd just watch a minute to see what was up but I quickly got invested and ended up watching the whole thing.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how mind-bogglingly difficult it must be to edit over 10 hours of footage into just a quarter of its length? This is super impressive stuff.
As impressive as it is this case had tons of filler IMO. It feels like it should end three hours sooner than it actually does because it just keeps going over the same bits over and over, or they take half a court day to prove nothing of substance. This chapter was a total slog.

The prosecutors job is to try and prove the defendant committed the crime, if they were allowed to go picking on whoever they want then the jury wouldn’t get a thorough enough understanding of the case. There is only ever one person on trial, and that trial is about them. If the prosecutor could get distracted by anyone else that seemed suspicious noone would be properly tried.

7:18 usually when you're securing a crime scene, the tape goes out way further than that. Even if they don't know for sure if it needs to be as large as it is, they'd rather have the tape go out too much than too little because of the possibility of evidence being disturbed. The perimeter of that crime scene would probably go across most of the floor of that parking garage, because a suspect could've dropped weapons or anything. Idk how it works if they've already apprehended a suspect, but that's what I was taught in forensic science class in high school so it HAS to be true

These days chalk (or tape) outlines are very rare, if not totally obsolete. If I remember correctly, the body was outlined before being taken away, to help investigators remember where the body was and what position it was in. But in this case, it's kind of hilarious that they have the tape outline of the body literally hanging out of the trunk.

There isn't a second judge until game 3, and even then I don't think he was ever over any trial Phoenix was in. I don't think Phoenix had to deal with another judge until game 6.

it's amazing that you managed to condense the entire case (which i believe is one of the longest in the series) into just two hours. i already watched the streams and vods but i'm super excited to watch this all over again. ty for the video, the devil works hard but RT and his editor work even harder
IKR the vods are like 15 hrs long and condensed it by 80%

Yeah this case is really long (definitely the longest feeling of the first two games), has a lot of loose ends in the beginning but at the end makes a lot of sense and is a really interesting story. It’s crazy that RT was able to fit the case into a 2 1/2hrs video with the original vods being about 7 and 9 hours respectively with the case still making sense, big props

Despite being literal hours, the quality of these edits never fail to amaze. Upon rewatching in headphones, I was shocked to realize that they actually made RT’s voiceovers for the courtroom chatter at 1:07:09 into *surrounding sounds.* If that doesn’t scream care and attention to details, I don’t know what does.

He probably got confused since in Ireland/the UK/probably most places outside of North America ‘jelly’ is not put on sandwiches, we call it jam and jelly is a totally different thing. I know I used to get so confused when the kids on Disney channel kept saying they had jelly on their sandwiches!

Why is watching RT play Phoenix Wright so goddamned comfy? Now I wished he did more anime-styled story games just because of how pleasant it is to watch.
A thing I really like about Dan’s joke voices, especially in this playthrough in particular, is that after making the joke voice he slowly begins to solidify it, unconsciously. Take the Goofy judge for example, it lost a small brunt of the goofy voice, merging with his normal voice to become the judge character’s voice. Sure, there are certain moments where he specifically exaggerates it, but just that little bit of normalcy in the voice makes it so much more authentic.
Ok totally unrelated to this comment but there is so many murders in this city why don’t people move out? I get Phoenix and

@@RockOnTheKitchenTable This is actually pretty normal for a metropolitan area, you kinda just get by with the knowledge that you're probably more likely to die from a car accident than a murder. Also, moving is expensive and kind of a hassle

You know, I've never played one of these games, nor have I really watched much gameplay of them. When I clicked on this video despite knowing it was over two hours long I thought I'd just watch a minute to see what was up but I quickly got invested and ended up watching the whole thing.
If he plays more, you should try to catch a live stream! It's a lot of fun to see him figure stuff out in real time. It's my first time consuming the games as well and watching him live is great fun

I know. This is one of the longest cases in all games. I believe 4 cases beat it. Unless I'm mistaken. This is including only right answers and no delays like useless evidence.
