    Wringing it out. I've had the original Timber 1.5 for several years now and this is definitely an upgrade. Nice demonstration of both ends of the envelope. SAFE landings are a nice fallback if you need it.

    So easy to get addicted to the rock solid scale look of SAFE mode, flies way better than i can and slows to a gravity defying speed in the slightest headwind. Sometimes I just run a whole pack seeing how slow and scale i can make the landings look especially when the light is low and those lights are shining bright. All the Timbers are truly great planes.
    Really love the relaxing style of your videos, they capture the essence of RC flying and always inspire me to look out the window and check the weather!

    Ryan. Turbo Timber looks really good. I had the original -First generation so to speak...till it took a dirt nap horsing around. I ended up with the Night Timber X. Good plane too. Not really fond of the Timbers being bottom feeders. To me that’s not a show stopper but keeps the Timber line from being almost perfect. Love the ultra light touch and goes....👍👍😉

    Looks like an awesome plane. I would really love to get one .But the price of HH planes has gone through the roof . The Turbo Timber is AU$469 Insane . The F-18 is $999. They are just pricing them selves out of the market. Cool video. Thanks for sharing.👍👍🙃🙃

    DUDE. THAT WAS SICK. I'm amazed at the difference in the lift on this wing compared to the timber x. I would really like to see you put together a comparison video with the TURBO TIMBER against the TIMBER x. Just to get the side by side visual. This is why I was asking if the wing would interchange because my timber x doesn't float like this. Comparison PLZZZZ. 😎👍👍✌

    • @jjs3287
      @jjs3287 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, be good to get a comparrison. I owned both at the same time and didnt find much difference between the two for my type of flying. I no longer have my X (sadly) but had to loose one to make space. The Turbo has some emotional attachment but had it not been for that i would have chosen the Timber X as its easier to transport and has a wider flight envelope. We are all different though and have different flying styles and expectations. I found that as long as my CG allowed plenty of up elevator at slow speeds ithe X could mush in pretty slow. In my own view, the X is one of those all or nothing planes that has abrupt edges to its super wide flight envelope. I will probably make sure i buy another before they are discontinued.

    Nice video Pilot Ryan, I just purchased one myself and it’s my fist BNF model, actually this is my first rc aircraft. While I was looking her over I noticed that while the ruder was positioned nice and even with the vert. stab. the servo arm in the plane was not exactly perpendicular to the servo.(I hope I’m using the correct wording). I thought when the control surface is straight or even that the servo arm should be at the 1/2 way point of the servo travel. Sorry for the long question.

    I fly the hell outta mine. If I could figure out how not to nose over so much that would be great. Maybe it in my flap settings, I have it set by the book.

      I’m using a 3S 2200 and I use all of the throw I can get out of the elevator and that can help prevent it from toppling over.

  • @Ahkeys82

    Glad you did a flight vido for this one. Do you think it would be ok with an admiral 3600 4s or would that be to big? Great to see Mike!

    • @PilotRyanMedia
      @PilotRyanMedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it can take it but that might be a bit too heavy. It was also hard to fit the 3200 Smart pack, any thicker would be a no go if I had to guess. This flight was on super cheap 2200 3s

    • @Ahkeys82
      @Ahkeys82 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I don’t have a plane like this. I think it would be fun to have one with all its capabilities.

  • @AirVexedRC
    @AirVexedRC 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Anyway you can you slow that plane down any more??!! Those one wheel touches definitely are not a newbie skill.
    Just flew it this morning on 4S. What a blast! Can't believe the scale impact from the larger wingspan over the Night Timber X. I've only killed about 10 batteries on the Turbo and despite the slower roll rate, I'm pretty confident I like it more.
    Do you think the Timber X or Turbo Timber is the easiest for knife edging? Still trying to learn the mechanics for the virtual competition this Monday.

    hi everyone NEED HELP !! I have a Turbo timber 1.5 Blue the first edition, my battery is Tattu 2700 mAh 3 cell 11.1V, Radio is specktrum NX6. kinda new to this binding stuff. The problem is that the plane flies like a gentle lady at full throttle, barely able to keep it in the air which is quite frustrating hence the term Turbo does not apply at all here. Reading the manual seems to point to a binding problem. My next ques. Are there two ways to bind my plan? I know about safe mode binding...kinda. will binding in safe mode (if there is such a thing) stop the motor from having full throttle? If so, it shouldn't. this should be a user decision hence throttling down! not something controlled by the radio. Also If the latter is true then how do i bind the plane so that i get full throttle. Thanks for any help or advice given. 👍😊
