But I always love seeing Twitch VODs. It seems to mostly add to the content. Looking forward to the change, as long as we still get plenty of long-form, uncut content on TH-cam. Can't wait to see where everything goes!
Honestly the Twitch content is twice as pogged as the YT content and the YT content is already pretty pog. As long as I have the Isaac/Spelunky double threat to set up my mornings I'll never be mad. I'll probably never be mad to begin with tho, getting mad at free entertainment is basically the dumbest shit ever
I just hope you start uploading full length VoDs to TH-cam, because Twitch is currently doodoo and getting the VoDs cut-up doesn't make for a pleasant viewing experience. But you do you, so long as you don't axe Isaac I'll never leave your side.
He had a long discussion with Dan in a podcast about this. The reason why he cuts it up is because TH-cam doesn't allow much control over where the ads go, making the viewing experience even worse.
Speaking of taking breaks from content every now and then I get burnt out of too much NL or ill become completely engrossed in a new game so ill take a break from the channel but ive been coming back since 2014, thank you for the 6 years of content sir
Change is scary and I feel that twitch and youtube content are somewhat different just due to chat being there (and I personally prefer it without), but it'll probably be fine or even great so let's see where the ride takes us :) Also merry christmas everybody!
Yeah, when you watch Twitch vods he's talking to chat and/or his co-hosts. When you watch TH-cam episodes it's like he's talking to you personally. I don't really mind either way but there's a subtle difference there.
@@PedanticPig Exactly, I've been watching the NLSS forever now but never with as much consistency as I've been watching the yt stuff. He's the only youtuber I've watched more or less daily since like 2011 or whenever Isaac started, so I guess of I can get more into twitch with anybody it's with him 😄
i don’t really care for streamed stuff - i find chat extremely annoying and i prefer the more intimate and direct style of commentary on youtube but i’m glad to see my fav content creator making moves and growing :)
Regardless of the content organization, I've always loved your stuff. Been following from Super Meat Boy days, and while I don't have quite the time in my schedule to watch EVERYTHING, you're still one of my top people to watch. You're interesting, funny, and wholesome, and while I've been pleased to see there's been a _definite_ improvement in the quality of the comments section over time, it still makes me sad that people still take time out of their day to be rude, during a time when we all need far more positivity to go around. I feel like a lot of social media circles (Tumblr, Twitter, people-I've-encountered-who-say-they're-from-Reddit-and-giving-me-reasons-to-never-sign-up-there, etc.) have this bad habit of breeding the belief that cynicism and negativity are somehow intellectually superior. That, upon seeing something harmless that doesn't quite match their preferences (be it a gamer who doesn't play well, or an artist who doesn't draw a certain subject matter, etc.), it becomes their obligation to start a fight over it so they can look smart. Not even to find even ground, but for the express purpose of either changing the other person to their worldview, or ruining their day for having the audacity to not cater to their every specific whim. Sometimes I wish those people would just take the old adage "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it," especially when it comes to content creators. Being mean for the sole purpose of one-upping the people who are trying to bring entertainment is just not cool.
Hey NL, pro tip, while doing the whip dice trick, you do NOT have to go so far back, they patched out them hurting you really easily, you can throw them from like 2 dice distance away right into the force field and whip pretty much immediately, gambling would go like 5x faster that way and frankly be even easier to hit for you.
Ive never heard someone clearly explain Twitch the way you did. I can never get into it because I don’t know where to start & can’t catch when ppl I like are actually streaming...I also agree on needing to adapt to stay relevant on YT. I’ve been watching you since I just graduated high school (I’m 26) and I’ve definitely stopped for long periods on watching gamers and just being on YT. I’m gonna try to watch your streams when I can I just haven’t had the free time as I used to which is why I like TH-cam and consistent uploaders like yourself. But I’m excited to be here through this change as always through the years and hope you stay your weird zany self NL 🤩
I dun personally like the twitch stuff, and Spelunky is the only series u have right now that I watch regularly, but I'll prolly stay subbed just in case
I prefer this kind of run, it's chill to chill with NL and it's really more about that than the game so keeping it less fast paced so it's easy to pay attention to both is my way to go.
Hey NL, I'm primarily a youtube viewer but as long as youtube still gets vods, I personally have no complaints about decreased youtube tailored content in favour of streaming. Love the content.
Look I hated it when Dan did it and sure I was wrong because it actually allows for more commenting and high quality edited entertainment. But don't tell Dan I was wrong... ok. I look forward to what comes next for NL's channel.
NL, I've been a fan since super meat boy back in the day, while I'll miss the plentiful YT content I'm excited about the future if it means more fun collabs and content in general :)
The Twitch rivals was really great. I mean it got a bit messy at times with everyone talking at once and the impressions that never end, but that's just how it goes when you have like 10 people in a call. Also I don't think you need to speedrun Spelunky, but if time is tight maybe it's not bad idea to play fast. Playing fast is a skill and if you can play fast and kill Hundun that's just double pog.
I hope you still vod up for us TH-cam boys, because Twitch works exceptionally poorly for me. I'm a busy man, and I need to be able to consume content on my own time.

you do you man, we'll still watch the pogs and fails
I actually am totally down with more VODs and stream highlights. I think streaming your first impressions of the new Isaac DLC would be really pog as well
New Vegas twitch VOD is probably your GOAT........ so far!!!
Your Twitch Vods are some of my favorite content on TH-cam anyways NL
0:13 is now my new notification alert
Is the laugh included or not
Whatever floaty your boaty mcboatface
I like 37:59 better.
That feeling when you know he got all children of the forest (:
I was sad at the news at first but then I thought wow you will improve so much at this game with live feedback AND you're also going to continue to talk like a professor so I think pog
He's been streaming it on Twitch for almost as long as the TH-cam series now, I wouldn't expect any miracles.
@@arbiter787 womp
Been watching since the early days of the NLSS (Back when every single one started with Dark Souls Invasions). Due to my work schedule I've seen maybe 5 live streams.
I’m here for the change! I’m sure whatever you do will be great, and I’m down for whatever is best for you brother 👍🏻
Great episode !
I'm so ready for some classic Spelunky goofiness
I've been watching you for like 6+ years my dude. You're my comfort TH-camr. You're stuck with me lol I'll watch wherever you wanna post/stream!
5 hours, 6 days a week is actual poggy supreme
I just hope you start uploading full length VoDs to TH-cam, because Twitch is currently doodoo and getting the VoDs cut-up doesn't make for a pleasant viewing experience. But you do you, so long as you don't axe Isaac I'll never leave your side.
agreed. YT > Twitch imo
@@ar8670 the midroll ads tho
He had a long discussion with Dan in a podcast about this. The reason why he cuts it up is because TH-cam doesn't allow much control over where the ads go, making the viewing experience even worse.
...you get more control over ads with shorter uploads
Speaking of taking breaks from content every now and then I get burnt out of too much NL or ill become completely engrossed in a new game so ill take a break from the channel but ive been coming back since 2014, thank you for the 6 years of content sir
I really like your youtube videos, and i cant always watch the stream, but your demon souls VODs were really fun actually
I’m all for longer Spelunky vids on twitch. It’s become my favorite series by far
Inside baseball episodes are my favourite.
Change is scary and I feel that twitch and youtube content are somewhat different just due to chat being there (and I personally prefer it without), but it'll probably be fine or even great so let's see where the ride takes us :)
Also merry christmas everybody!
But twitch has live predictions also known as bets ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
@@Alkuf100 True, that's fun but still. I think it's just personal preference.
Absolutely pogged to see NL play some Spelunky!
We’re poggin to the moon on twitch 2021! Hell yeah brother
15:45 Vsauce looks just like you and he is incredibly incredibly famous. Never give up
"backstreet boys reunion tour" omggg the game grumps
If you load the VODS to youtube, we're solid.
When will egg learn that you can ride a torkey while carrying another one?
2023
@@joehemmann1156 Too soon
He's done it a few times, it just isn't a habit
Hey NL, I'm primarily a youtube viewer but as long as youtube still gets vods, I personally have no complaints about decreased youtube tailored content in favour of streaming. Love the content.
I feel like an old man for not being on twitch, but it’s just a time issue.
BELATED MERRY CHRISTMAS BRO. I love the way you play LOTS of games
Look I hated it when Dan did it and sure I was wrong because it actually allows for more commenting and high quality edited entertainment. But don't tell Dan I was wrong... ok. I look forward to what comes next for NL's channel.
I felt like a shareholder in the company of NLs TH-cam channel this episode when he was talking about moving to twitch
Sad to see you go but love to watch you leave buddy
NL, I've been a fan since super meat boy back in the day, while I'll miss the plentiful YT content I'm excited about the future if it means more fun collabs and content in general :)
Just a random comment, but watching you fail at this rage inducing game and not tilt has been great for influencing my own struggles with tilting 😅
You are so appreciated and I think you should do what you think is best for your career :) I'll be here as I have been for many years ❤️
Pogged run, and thanks for the interior sportball
The greed of this man
I hope you still vod up for us TH-cam boys, because Twitch works exceptionally poorly for me. I'm a busy man, and I need to be able to consume content on my own time.
Final blow: Unexpected indeed.
with twitch going on a huge DMCA spree these last months. This kind of decision lines up perfectly with the typical NL decision.
Million subscriber special should be a vlog of NL going to the grocery store
Thanks
