Ha,ha! You're so stinkin funny! I love your haul. I'm starting my first year of homeschool this year with my preschooler. Just some basic numbers, letters and lots of cutting and gluing. He loves to cut and glue everything! Coloring or "writting"--not so much. We will do lots of reading, and he likes to help me cook and play in the rice bin. Throw in some nursery rhymes, Bible verses and sing along songs and that should do it! So my supplies this year is mostly tempra paints, construction paper, playdough, crayons, etc. I had to order left handed scissors online-I couldn't find them anywhere in the stores around where I live!!! (He is a lefty so far). Thank you for sharing! Please let me know if I'm leaving something out! He already knows his basic shapes and colors.
maybe your kids are taking the scissors outside for various reasons; to cut flowers for crowns, or string, or small vine-y things for projects. I did that when I was little. I also stole one of my mom's good serving spoons to use as a shovel while digging snow tunnels. But we eventually found it.. when spring came. :)
Love love love school supplies!! I have to restrain myself when it comes time to restock! Also, we are having a very COAH school year (daily learning notebooks, greatest artists, greatest composers, expedition earth, lotw) & we love every single subject so far!! Thank you for all you do & share with this community! 💖💖💖 ~Stephanie
We are starting our second year of homeschooling (through Bridgeway Academy) and I really found your videos helpful when I was exploring the homeschool option! My daughter is starting 6th grade and I think a prize box would be a lot of fun for her. Thanks for sharing!
You are too cute. I love the backpack. So awesome. And like you said, $100 for all isn't bad for school supplies. Schools' supply lists are horrendous, at least here. I love my spinning caddie. Mine still holds all of my scrapbooking supplies. For those that can't find it, I have a silverware caddie that you use for outside for BBQ's and picnics because I won't part with my spinning caddie. LOL I am homeschooling only one as my girls have graduated from high school, but he is so not into the school supply thing. He didn't want anything fun. Takes the fun out of it for this mom who loves all of that. A prize box or some sort of incentive thing would be nice for my 5th grade boy, but I can't find anything he likes like that.
Have you tried Rubik's cubes? My son loves them! But since those are larger ticket items, he has to get good grades all week for one of those though LOL! Also maybe just video game time coupons work for him.
What is your overall budget for buying all the things you need for each year? Book, supplies, etc. If you have a video already please let me know. Thank you. I enjoy your homeschool videos!!!
Hi, I don't have an exact budget. I usually just get what we need for the year. Some years it's more because we've run out of basic supplies. Other years it is less because we have left overs. Just depends!
That backpack is so awesome, she is going to remember that forever! Good job mom moment!

Love the Unicorn bag splurge! The pencil caddy is one of my favorite purchases too. Ours is filled with a rainbow of gel pens.
