In this video, we share our day’s activities including hanging out at the Plaza Las Americas, finding one of our favorite speakeasy bars, and an epic hunt for some lunch. We ended up getting some delicious popsicles and making our way back to the ship. Later that evening, we had dinner at Chibang, Carnival’s new Chinese and Mexican fusion restaurant followed by a cool magic show!

I know!!! I usually don’t get embarassed easily but she came back with the plates of food and was so sweet about it, that I instantly started blushing!! ☺️☺️☺️ She even brought me plate covers to take it back to my cabin 😂
The sweet and sour shrimp was funny... she was like let me hook yall up real quick :)

Once again superb editing! You tie together just enough of each activity to share what the experience is all about. The family look as if you all enjoyed the day despite the fact that you weren’t able to partake in delicious food and drinks. I like the way you guys just pivot and change your plans to make it a party just the same. Two thumbs up 👍🏾 👍🏾 for sharing the current requirement to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination card or current negative COVID-19 test to visit bars and restaurants in Puerto Rico. San Juan is gorgeous and has so much to offer. From the nature (actual rain forest!), beaches, culture, and it’s still technically the US, so no passport needed to go there!

It was good! Probably the best sweet and sour shrimp I’ve ever had 😬 but the lunch menu is COMPLETELY different from dinner like we had.
We love Puerto Rico so much, when cruises were shut down we stayed at a resort there for a week. Some of the best food in the Caribbean! We're on the Mardi Gras next week and heard mixed things about Chibang but it looked really good in your vlog, might have to check it out!
We love the food in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 we had heard mixed reviews about Chibang as well. Just know that lunch menu is COMPLETELY different from the dinner. We went to dinner 👍🏾
Lunch was basically a choice between a noodle bowl (Chinese) or a rice bowl (Mexican) with a variety of sauces, meats and veggies. 🤗 so we opted for the actual entrees at dinner.
Great video, beautiful family. In May Ill be taking my 15th cruise on Royal's Symphony of the Seas. As Vegas Bartender I really appreciated the bars and the drinks in your video. Stay blessed

Playing catch up on your videos. Glad cruising is back. I am now trying to figure out how to fit them all in. I want to do all of them to play catch for the months I’ve missed. I was supposed to go on Mardi Gras last year but it was cancelled. It looks like so much fun.

You weren’t missing out on nothing at Barrachinas when I went in September I was not impressed. Our hotel had better food than there. Yassss those popsicle’s are so GOOD 🙌🏽
Yeah we usually go to Barrachinas for tres leches cake and pina coladas, the food there is overpriced 🤔

Hey Terry and Addy. Oh wow. The mall is really nice. Surprised to see the names in English. Thought it would’ve been in Spanish. Ok. You need your vaccination card. I also have the excelsior app. My card I keep in my planner, but I don’t take my planner on port. We usually go to a local spot called Mojitos. Delish food and drinks. Omg. Switching /mixing Mexican and and Chinese? You guys are brave. Yesssss. Bring the 🍤 shrimp. 🤣 Is it me or was the magician weak? Anyway. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.
Curious, I’ve been seeing videos from you guys and Rich and Jazzy. Nothing from AK adventures in about a month. Do you know if they are ok? And they didn’t like or reply to any comment on their last video posted when I looked yesterday. That’s odd. All 3 of you are amazing at liking and replying to your comments. Hope they are ok.

if you are into nature and hiking, then definitely visit El Yunque. If you are into history and want to tire the kids out, walk over to El Morro. By the time you get back to the ship after a day of walking, you will get some well-deserved quiet time ☺️ but the site is beautiful and cool. Locals are usually picnicking or flying kites.

OMG. When were you on the Mardi Gras? I just got off Sunday 12/26. Carnival did tell us to carry our vaccine card to get into places. I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did.
We went for thanksgiving 🤗 maybe they told us and we just tuned out the announcement lol.

How much time did you have in San Juan before you had to head back to the ship?
We were in port really early (7 am!) and all aboard was 3:30pm. We didn’t get off the ship till maybe 9am because we knew weren’t doing an excursion 🤗
Aye... Never thought of going to a mall at a port! Just made me think of new adventures! And just curious, how long did your son wear that jean jacket in San Juan, because it looked hot the way y'all were sweating.
He wore it for the mall and for pictures in Old San Juan 😂😂😂 it was hot but more sticky humid to me lol.
I never eat when I am off the ship I find it is saver to eat on the ship.
Then you don’t get to experience the local deliciousness!!! 🤗😬 we always try to eat off ship 👌🏾

Actually pretty safe. Most passengers wore their masks onboard and social distancing was respected. 👍🏽 there were only a few times where we were a little anxious

Question don’t you need your vaccination card to go on a cruise so how could you not go eat last I check when I went on a cruise in September and December you need a vaccination card
We had the cards on the ship but didn’t take them with us when we got off the ship in port. 😊

I just want to say that I saw your family that day in San Juan. I was sitting at a window seat in a restaurant. I saw you and your family walk by with the camera etc. I was like O wow Someone is making a video. The server turned you away because no one in your party could produce a vaccination card. While most of your party turned around to leave understanding--two stayed behind to tell the employee how they felt. I was near enough to hear what they said and it was neither nice or polite. Last night I saw your vlog for the first time. I said to my husband “hey!! This is the family we saw in PR. It’s too bad--I may never feel that the enthusiasm showed by your family is credible.
So you joined TH-cam just to make this comment with that confusing last sentence?!
We got upset because instead of explaining or showing us why we needed to have our vaccination cards, they just proceeded to tell us (African American individuals) that we could not be seated at a restaurant that was in the process of seating other individuals seemingly without questioning them. The same thing happened at the next restaurant we went to. It was finally at the third restaurant we tried to go, where it was explained to us the policy for the entire country and shown to us in writing for us to understand. It was not intentional to be rude but with a history of oppression and living in Middle Georgia, discrimination does rear it’s ugly head. We are sorry if you were offended but please try to see it from our point of view. We do appreciate your comment and you watching the video. Hopefully you will watch more and see that we are genuine. 🤗🤗
