Okay I’m glad I’m seeing this because I installed my own micro-braid locs. Aside from my parting not being the best, I still love my hair and love that it’s totally unique. My hair is short. I’ve taken it through maybe 4 rounds of revisions and am finally comfortable letting it grow and glow ❤
Thank you so much for doing this video. I've had braidlocs in the past. I restarted my braidlocs back in October 2023. My hair has changed over the years and is now thinner. I'm encouraged by your video and will continue my new loc journey, fully loving my locs no matter what! You inspired me. Thank you again!
Here because I have two strand twist starters but some of my ends are braided because my twists have been unraveling. So thank you for this! I was curious how my braided ones would look
Beautiful journey, sis.❤❤❤ I am at 28 months braidloc'd majority of patterns have "disappeared," but some still have the braided look, and I'm totally ok with it. Unless you are in my face, you can not tell.
I’ll be 2 years in July and I’m fine with my braid pattern as well. Gives my locs a unique look so I’m with you on that. Half the time people think they’re sisterlocks anyway lol.
Hi, I 've got microbraids too since 8 months and I love the pattern ! It will take whatever amount of time it wants to loc and become less braids and more locs. I'm very patient and in love with this journey :) your hair is very beautiful
I have 54 locs. My loose hair was fine and paper thin so I didn’t go for micro locs. Because of my hair texture I started with 4 passes of a braid the 2 strand twist. The first couple months they kept coming undone. It was a struggle and a few ended up being crocheted. It has been a very interesting journey. I will be 1 Year in on 3/2/23. Your locs are beautiful and it is amazing that you started them on your own.
You are too good to be true. I always wonder why people wants perfect locs lol. I have just subscribed to this chanel because you are making sense. I wanna follow your journey
Your locs look great!!! I have micro locs as well! I started dealing with lint as well, especially at my ends, so I brush the ends with my hair toothbrush and it takes care of that issue immediately! I’ll even brush most of the length of my locs if I need/want to!
I would loose those areas with the braids patterns out and then twisted them lose, then roll them in the parm of your hands, and then it will look lock, or budded
I have the same thing i am 15 months in and i have twists. I have a the same mixture of some still with the pattern some that are completely loc’d, etc
I’m 3 weeks in my braidlocs journey, thanks for sharing your journey ❤️ I already redid one braid because it was too tight and I felt like it’ll take long to loc up
I'm so glad you shared your journey. By the way, your braids look Amazing. Actually, I should say your braid-locs. I am only 5 months into mine, they're micro braids that I had stalled myself. I am have a love hate relationship with them right now but am so excited to finally find someone that's willing to help me maintain them. Mine, too are different sizes even though the parting is about the same. I guess the hair is thicker and less or more dense in certain areas. Anyway, because of your video, I am more determined to proudly continue this journey. Thank you!
Nice video! I'm looking to start my loc journey with braid locs. I'm currently in relaxed hair (3 months since a perm). Do you think I should makes my braids tight or loose? I want to braids to transition to locs quick!
New subbie here. First off I really love your braid locs, yeah, they are looking really good!! I just started my BL's journey yesterday and I'm so excited and I'm just hoping that it turns out wonderfully and I know everybody's locks are different so good luck on your journey and would love to see how yours turns in the future. And wish me well 2 please 😆 God Bless.🙏😊
Good luck or I hope it went well! If you check out my Microloc playlist on my channel I have a video of me redoing some of my locs. Might be helpful if you haven’t started/finished yet.
You could get a retwist but I feel most people with microlocs get them maintained by interlocking and we call it a retightening or retie. I could ultimately do my own reties but I see a loctician on a 6-8 week basis for mine. Sometimes I’ll retie the front 2 rows myself for a neater look around 5-7 weeks though.
Like microloc size or traditional? I mean you should but it may be heavy, I wouldn't recommend it. If there were small and human hair was used it would definitely be better.
@@TommieMarie I had my box braids in for 2 months already starting my braids locs journey the processing coming along good so far I got my 1st interlocked in came out great
It just takes time honestly. You can try spraying water on your hair everyday if you’re not already. It took me at least a year before I started to see some serious locking happening.

Super informative! Thanks for making this! It's crazy how some braids look fresh and some are completely locked, even in just one section

Thank you and I’m sure your locs are beautiful as well! Thanks for commenting.
Good luck on your micro braid locs journey!😊
Love your hair. My hair was soft and a little thin. So my locktition did two strand twist adding in kinky hair in between. I have loose ends as well.

I actually saw a lot of info about brushing locs in the beginning, I’ll definitely consider it on my more “mature locs!” Thanks for watching! ❤️

Tighter would be better. You might experience slippage if you don’t.
Very lovely locs! ✌🏽🧡💛✨
Love to see the progress! I have followed you from the install!

I thought I was the only one next month makes a year and there are some parts that are fully loced one others that are still braids
Beautiful! Seriously considering getting these, I’m just curious about the upkeep. Is it retwisting like regular locs?

Can I start my locs with box braids in my hair if I don’t take it down in let them locs over time with braid locs ?
