Exactly. There's plenty of videos made about the Apple watches but barely any for the Samsung galaxy watches. I own a GW4C and would love to see what it's like to get inside and how everything looks
none, nobody sells parts. Not even google themselves offer repairs for it. I have a small chip in the display after several months of dailying this thing, I regret buying this watch in the first place after finding 0 repair options.

Ikr, they praised Apple (and increased the repair rating) for making iPhone 14 more repairable but in reality they just make the back cover easier to open, but Apple still has parts serialization in place that makes repair harder for third party repair shops. I thought iFixit is consistent with their "right to repair" campaign but I was wrong. Forgot one thing about their iPhone 14 teardown. They purposedly misinform the audience that iPhone 14 is more repairable (which is bullcrap, as stated above), because my friend believe in that so firmly (because he watched the vid and sees iFixit as big and trusted company) and I had a fight with him to make him realize that iFixit is wrong. (Sorry for my English)
I do wish when talking about the price people mentioned the Pixel Watch case is stainless steel rather than aluminum like smartwatches priced cheaper than it. If you want a stainless steel Apple Watch that starts at 699. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic was also stainless steel and that was priced the same at $349/$399 for BT/LTE versions. That said, I appreciate this teardown and the geeking out over some neat adhesive. Seems like battery replacements are relatively easy and display replacements only slightly more difficult. Good to know as those tend to be the most common repairs.
Until spare parts become available it's effectively unrepairable, even if you can take it apart. Let's hope Google addresses parts availability by the time the warranty runs out.

The LG Watch Urbane was pretty good. I thought it wasn't enormously bulky on my wrist, and Android Wear at the time was much more comfy than WearOS is now. Sadly the screen started to give up and it looked to be difficult to replace when I dug into the device.

I got the 5th gen fossil watch. looks nice has some "old school watch" design. But not getting wearOS updates or any updates at all really hampers my experience and i've now switched to the pixel watch. If fossil had the same software and tracking tough....
I recently looked at a Fossil automatic and was surprised to feel the rotor inside spin really fast. The only other automatic watch that winds that fast cost me $2,000. Every sub $500 watch I've had seems to have a rotor that doesn't spin freely. A slight flick of the wrist will have the rotor spin freely for a good 2 minutes. It's actually quite incredible for a $200 watch.
If Google buys FitBit they can just bring back Pebble watches. In this world of complex watches the OG 5+ day simplistic smartwatches is what we really need

I'd definitely buy this (or a Galaxy Watch) over the Apple Watch. This just looks pretty cool, and seems repairable for the major things that are likely to need repair (screen, back glass, battery). Plus - no software pairing!

I waited 2 years for this watch and I have never been so disappointed. They had so many years to get this right and the whole things looks so rushed and only one size with is tiny, the bezels the size of Manhattan. I would expect things like this from Microsoft. GW4 is the standard. This is a beta device, like the first fold. That screen is far too small for the body.
