Hi I bought a dji mini 4 pro in usa coming to india in 5 days. The drone is a catgorised as a nano drone if used with normal battery it is 249 grams but the battery i have is the extended plus battery 45 mints which bump the weight to 305 grams at take off instead of using the regular ones. I am scared to bring it thinking they will confiscate it in customs because its heavier i heard if i put drone in chekin baggage with batteries removed and put in hand carry with remote in carryon i wont have issue . Is this correct ?. Also since this is 305 grams with the extended battery would i have to get the the remote pilot license or is it not applicable because yhe drone itself is categorised as a nano drone. Please help . I am really confused all websites online are not providing coear information . I am really frustrated dont want to lose my drone at airport and also not be able to fly in india after all these hassle. Please give your opinion and any links that help Thankyou
No worries you can bring the drone. Mostly there will be no issue just make sure you unbox it first as you can't bring the box with you. So unpack all the things and then bring it in a bag or something
My friend has bought DJI mini 3 pro drone in USA & want to bring it to India, will he be able to bring it to India without any Custom issues or do you've any suggestions for this?
I also got my drone from the USA and didn't face any problems with customs. Make sure it's totally unpacked and ready to fly (show that you are already using that drone)
hello! I'm not in India right now but I'm going there soon. when I try to register with digitalsky it asks me for an Indian phone number but I don't have one yet. How can I solve this problem?
@@weird_traveller I want to register my drone, which I will take to India. But because of the Indian phone number, nothing happens. Do you recommend me to register my drone already in India? I would like to register it before the trip so that everything is in order when I arrive in India. What can I do?

You need to register your drone for everything

For now if you want to register in India you need an Indian passport and phone no for OTP

Bro I don’t have passport
I am not sure if you can do this without a passport
Passport mandatory for creating a profile
At the time I registered it was mandatory.
