One thing I do to stretch milk is by buying the whole milk and removing 1 1/2 cups and replace with water. It stretches the milk out. We drink 1% or skim, so this is no big change in taste for us. Replacing 1/2 quart of milk with 1/2 quart of water decreases the fat by half. My DT has block cheese that you can shred. It melts really well. There is a cornstarch replacement for eggs: 2 T + 3T water = one egg replacement. You could use a can of chicken for the ramen dish if you wanted to add protein. I'm not criticizing, just tossing out ideas! Fun easy meals, love it!
But mayo is still made of egg. So mayo might be a quick on-hand substitute, but only if one didn't have any dietary restrictions like an allergic reaction to eggs.
I’ve heard a little vinegar is a substitute for the egg. Also, sometimes my DT has the Tyson frozen chicken nuggets, 5 to a bag. I’d use two bags & cut each nugget into four pieces & add all to the ramen at the end or at serving time. Additionally, my preference only & not always available, I’d get a little bowl & add the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, a tablespoon of honey, sesame oil & ketchup, if you had those on hand. Mix the sauce well & pour over the ramen. It brings it up a notch. 🍜
i use the beef patties for ground beef meals, love the cheese stuffed ravioli, we make pizza buns too we use the nuggets or popcorn chicken for kfc bowls
I thought applesauce could substitute for an egg our dollar tree sells an 8 pack of eggs for $1.25 but i bought a 5 dozen box from walmart for $4.70. Canned chicken would have worked in your stirfry ours always has the canned chicken. Hope you have a great week.
At my DT they carry the thin steak to make Philly Cheesesteak. Then I first had it I found it at Aldi for 4.99 but the last time I looked at DT it was on the shelf marked 4. So I’ll be getting if from DT along with the peppers and onions to make Cheesesteaks. I don’t make them with the cheese that’s supposed to go on them. I use the white sharp cheddar cheese from Aldi instead. I know this is a DT video. DT is the best place to buy the Tony’s seasoning because at Walmart or “Kroger” it’s way over 4 bucks. The last time I looked at Kroger it was way over 6. DT is improving their game with the amount of food coming into their stores. I’m thinking it’s because of the plus section as well as the quarter increase.
Applesauce is a good substitute for eggs. I enjoy shopping at Dollar Tree 🌴 as well. Although I've never shopped thinking of meals for the Week. But you have whet my appetite for this very thing. Thanks so much. And you have some cute kiddos there. Take care. 👍
I was thinking of that as I was cleaning it. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of Kent Rollins (TH-camr) but he says never cook in a cast iron with acidic food.
They all looked really tasty. I’m not sure about your DT but I have found ham lunch meat that I chop up and add to my pizza bagels. And I make chicken and sausage jambalaya from all DT purchases.

Try mayo for egg substitute. It is egg and oil, so it should work. You could use either of the sausage options on the pizza bagels.

Applesauce is a good egg substitute in baked goods.
egg substitutions: Mayo or apple sauce.
Our dollar try has chicken nuggets and can chicken. Carbonated water , banana, or applesauce can be used in place of egg
Chicken nuggets?? Man, I wish ours did!
you can use apple sauce for egg substituition.....
All these look really good ❤
So with brownies, when you use an egg substitute you have to add more fat. I always add some peanut butter and they come out perfect.
aha Peanut Butter makes sense! It has to be something that can hold it all together.
Oh and make sure you reseason your pan after putting pasta sauce in it because the acidity can eat the coating of your cast iron
I was thinking of that as I was cleaning it. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of Kent Rollins (TH-camr) but he says never cook in a cast iron with acidic food.
@@CookiesandBacon22 Love him 🤣
@@apriltownsend8463 both me and my husband really enjoy watching him! Hes so knowledgeable about cast irons and I love his style of cooking.
@@CookiesandBacon22 I just think he’s funny when he happy dances 🤣

@@CookiesandBacon22 me too! My favorite is ham and mushroom.

You 1000% look like Tina Majorino!!!!!! 😮❤
Haha I’ve never heard that in my life but I can see that if I lost weight hahah
1 Tbsp applesauce for egg substitute
I think a lot of people use a half cup applesauce instead of an egg for mixes like that
Thank you!
If you cooked the brownies for an hour, that was your main problem. 😂
I checked it at 30 minutes and it was already not cooking right…. Just all sorts of wrong lol
Applesauce is a good egg substitute

Mayo or sour cream is two main sub for egg
They have canned chicken 🐔
You need to get a healthy food cookbook 😮
Do you and your family say grace before meals?
Yes. Every meal.
Maybe apple sauce. I’ve done any substitutions. But I think I heard apple sauce. Just google the question. Or if you like Siri on an iPhone ask Siri.
Yes u can substitute applesauce in your baking, makes your baked goods moist
My mom used to make us pizza bread pizza, made with sliced bread. We would put thinly sliced wieners on top…yummy.
Canned chicken?
I’m not a huge fan of canned chicken. Also, I usually only see tuna when I go.
@@CookiesandBacon22 Me too! I think it tastes like tuna lol.
A lot of that stuff could be less at walmart
Read all the nasty ingredients in some DT Off brand foods 😮
Not bad in term of ideas, but very processed.
I noticed that all your recipes are tomatoe base dont you have recipes with no tomatoes involved
What happened to be brownies
BTW. Those shreds cheese is not real cheese
I know that cheese was terrible!! Brownies were hard as a rock! Lol
Lol. Great video
@@bellamichellejerseygirl207 thank you!
