I really enjoy her most of books, except for The Premonition at Withers Farm. I couldn’t finish that one because of the seance references. It made me uncomfortable. Currently listening to Echoes Among the Stones. It’s so very good, but you’re right… The Vanishing at Castle Moreau was fantastic!!
Those are some great recommendations, Amanda! The Cider Shop mysteries are some of my favorite cozy mysteries. I have been meaning to get to the Amanda Flower series. I loved the Muir Harbor series! Books two and three were both 5 star reads for me. I am hoping to read a Jaime Jo Wright book this fall - The Vanishing at Castle Moreau looks good or I might try The Haunting of Bonaventure Circus. I would like to reread Boo by Rene Gutteridge and finish that series. And I might pick up Lost in Darkness by Michelle Griep.
Thank you! Yesss! I need to read more of her books. I can't wait to read book 2 in the Muir Harbor series too. Yesss I have the Circus book too from Jaime Jo.
Laurel's Dream was one of my recent reads and the story takes place over the fall. I was so pleased I waited until this month to read it! It has all the fall vibes ✨️ A few recommendations for fall reads. A Tutor's Daughter and The Silent Governess by Julie Klassen (two of my favorites of hers with a major Gothic feel). The Mistress of Tall Acre and the Colonel's Lady by Laura Frantz (must reads if you want a good cry and all the angst haha). Nine Coaches Waiting by Mary Stewart ( an all time favorite! Jane Eyre Gothic feel set in the French Alps. You need to read it!) The Love Note by Joanna Davidson Palitano ❤️ Oh and the Lady of Milweed Manor by Julie Klassen. This one comes with a warning. The Story focuses heavily on wet nursing in the regency era. And a warning that your heart will break and not recover for quite some time. I felt this book so deeply and it will definitely be in my top 3 of the year!
As usual, I have added a few to my library list. 💓 Assaulted Caramel is happening this fall for sure! 😂 I have a couple of the books on my shelf, just waiting to be read, too, so maybe I'll pull them out in the next month or two. I just finished Autumn by the Sea and it made me want to be a blueberry farmer off the coast of Maine. The atmosphere in that one was just perfect for fall! Small town, cozy family story, fall setting. Perfect! And the story was good, too. 😁
Jaime Jo Wright is THE PERRRRRFECT fall author in my opinion. SO good!!
