I started using imperial javelins and I just love the amount of damage they're able to deal against a group of enemy units who're currently engaged to your allies units. (Gotten around 250+ unit kills with it)
Sorry to burst ur bubble , but it's probably a bot game, u can just tell. I love them don't get me wrong, they are not mass unit killer. They deal massive massive dmg short burst, picking off hero easily and couple of unit. But definitely not in a sustain fight
They need a lot of micro and concentration, but when used well the are beasts. Prefer them over the sergeants due to the tight formation. Got well over 100 kills with them last time I used them, and didn't even lose a single one. They are good. Slap a sprint doctrine on them to make them even better.
Yeah the formation is one of the nicest parts of the unit. Traditionally I've always preferred the javs sgts but these guys do seem pretty good at the moment
Absolutely love Imp Javs. Some of my best games in recent history i used them. They are exceptional on maps like Regionopolis and any others with supply points near the objectives on defense. They can be used on attack some but i definitely think they excel on defense.
Yup, Imp Javs if use correctly are beasts especially when using them to kill heroes which is what sets them apart from the Jav Sergeants and also slightly better melee capability, especially if you go either of the two top lines, though not by much if they're against Zerkers or Claymores or Paladins or even anything with a shield will give them trouble in melee. They've become a real favorite of mine since they got a buff cause they're more viable to use now. Also like you I'm more of a infantry player rather than a ranged (with exceptions) or cav player. I'm like you when it comes to cav, "LEROY JENKINS!" pretty much sums it up cause as soon as I charge them they get obliterated almost immediately. The way I see it is, Infantry are easy to use then ranged are sort of intermediate cause you have to position them in a good spot to use them properly and cav are of the hardest to use cause they're a one trick pony (lol) unit, or at least for some of them, in that they only have their charge ability and aren't all that great in melee.
Imp Java with Flying shield with bleed is amazing x and v in melee. Also use double Tap C for faster ImP Javs or any other unit. Imp Javs great against Berserkers in big fights or any other unit except shields
Imperial javs with full mid line and rest in top can actually get a shocking amount of kills when they melee. Their javs are still lethal, especially with good doctrines! I use the piercing epic jav doctrine, the jav damage jav doctrine, assassination, breakthrough, and ammo.
Recently started playing Conqueror's Blade again after 3 months of inactivity, but since my location has changed, I'm playing Conqueror's Blade MyGames instead of the Frontier version. A nice restart, time to try out other units and make sure I unlock the right units lol. (I only got to about level 100 in the Frontier version anyway, so I didn't lose much)
ACtually, if your imperial javelineers are either top/top or top/middle, their can do pretty well in melle, even VS PG. With hero support, they can do amazing works. Sometimes i get killed and since they wont be abble to reatreat, i just let then melee and get a good ammount of kills! But ofc... their javelin damage (especially from botton veterancy) is amazing indeed.
I have always preferred imp javs only because of their formation which feels much better in most situations and can honestly help hold the enemy back in a bad situation.
they have best looking shield in this game imo. When theyre in wall formation , those shiny shields simply look epic. That was the whole reason i got this unit asap when started playing this game

I hit level 100 recently. Life us pain, every match is 14 berzerkers vs 14 or 15 berserkers and my units just die instantly to everything but I cant kill anything. My men at arms charge into the back of archers and lose half the unit. My imperial pike guard walk into serfs and lose half the unit etc. It's so frustrating.

For one small unit or a lone hero, the auto-throw is very deadly. 2 and 3 skills are good against masses of enemies.

i had this unit almost in every match in my line-up if they are maxed with good doctrines they are absolutely insane in melee

yeah the shield throw line is very good u can cc a hero x them onto them and press v and kill heros just like paladins do

My once absolute favorite unit. They still 'work', but the odds have definitely shifted against them due to power creep.
