Hi Wes, my name is Edgar. My native language is Spanish, and before finding you out I already knew English pretty well. But still there's always something new to learn, and I learn from you mostly slang. Great lesson.
I really love this type of lesson of you!! The lesson has helped me review some phrasal verbs, so that I can use them from today, and some were completely new to me. Thank you!! 😊
Thanks a lot Wes. Very useful phrases to know and to learn. I must confess that I learn a lot from your channel.. All the best for you and your lovely family 😉😇
So well explained and illustrated through examples. Thanks a lot. Can you do a school vocabulary video, vocabulary that teachers and students would use in class?
Okay, guys! Here we again get served a fabulous meal by Chef. Wes! The concepts were already "chopped up" meticulously so you don't need to "pig out" in a hurry! Just "wash down" what you learned in your disorganized textbook before devouring this fantastic food! Oh I know you're busy but don't "pass up" on this special one "heated up" by his top-notch explanation! You've been thinking of losing weight, but hey, don't "cut down on" Wes' servings! Because it's not the food "eaten in" at home, but "eaten out" at a Michelin star restaurant! Okay, guys! Enjoy your meal and I'm gonna make a "toast to" the success of your beautiful English journey! Everybody, Cheers! 🥂📚✨
I was making lunch!!! And I was describing to my self every single movement O made to practice the phrasal verbs. BTW how do you say "tapar la olla" ..put the lid on? Greetings from Mexico
In the morning , I often whip up a smoothie to lighten my day. Then I will pig out on my lunch and cut down on sugar and wheat on my dinner. We toast to my friend when she becomes a pharmacist. My mom told me not to pick up vegetable .

Hello, Adriana. 👨🏻🏫 Mr Teacher here. Both pronunciations are acceptable. ‘Eether’ or ‘Eyether’. There is a famous 🎵 🎤 about this problem: ‘You say eether but I say eyether’. Lets call the whole thing off! I hope this is helpful for you.
Hello! I really enjoy your videos, you explain very clear and I was wondering if you could make a video about correct pronoun case. Thank you for your help!
Does "boil over" also have the meaning of "boiling for a long time" ? For example: put the raw meat in, and let it boil over to kill out the parasites. I think of the phrasal verb "cook over" as cook for a long time and slowly. Do I get that wrong ?
I turn up the soup to warm it up. I turn down the soup on the stove before it is boiling up. I passed up on dinner last night. I ate all of the banans up, ups ;D. I always pig out after my workout. I chop those onions up for my dinner. I thaw the spinach out for dinner. I do not like to eat out a lot, I rather like making dinner myself. Mostly, I like eating in, so I know what ingredients include in the meal. I have to whip up my breakfast because I am too late for work. I have to cut down on my coffee, I always drink coffee every morning. I always pick at my food when it contains coriander. I have to water my meal down, it includes too much liquid. I need something to wash the disgusting food down right now. I drink to myself because I graduated from school again at the age of 31.
I wish you would have said a toast with a glass of champagne - it would have mirrored the occasion much better! And it would have been the polite way.... it was a bit impolite. Thanks for the phrases!
A small question regarding articles: He is addicted to ________ smoking. (Zero Article) He is addicted to ________ cigarette smoking. ( The or Zero Article)
Vicki hates to cook. She thinks she is lousey cook. The problem I have with the word cook is it's a false friend word in German. In German, Chef means boss, not a cook, and I still picture a supervisor when I first hear or see the word. After you picture a boss for 38 years, it's hard to see a Koch/Kochin (German word for a cook) when someone says Chef is a cook. I see a man boss first and a cook second. from Gustav
Thanks for commenting & sharing with us Gustav. Yes, I can imagine that would be difficult transition to make in your mind when "chef" refers to a boss. And by the way, I'm also a lousy cook. 😆

There are 2 ways to say "Either". Are they from different parts of the US, or can we choose the way we want to say it. ?
