2:00 I know that this video is about no damage, but seeing Kratos truly in control of his rage compared to all the previous games is fucking beautiful. He's still a monster, but he's his own monster now.
This rematch just proved that Kratos has always been the dominant force between him and Thor in an all-out battle. Judging by the fight, Thor already poured all his might here starting from when Kratos stabbed him with the blades at 1:20. Kratos still managed to get the upperhand on him to the point where Thor concedes as kratos dragged that knife on his left hand. And to top it off, at 4:45 the same hit that knocked Kratos out from their first encounter no longer had the same impact on Kratos. He adapted and took it like it was a bitch slap.
Thor was weakened since the beginning of the game when Kratos used the axe on him (the axe the poison of the serpent) plus he had just left a fight with Jor and a bunch of armies so he wasn''t in his top notch form when fighting Kratos in the end

I have no idea what all of you are trying to say. There is no "version" of Thor in this game that could beat Kratos- sober or otherwise. Heck you're not even sure if he was even drunk. Thor only fought the serpent and a few elves for a few minutes at best. You think the God of thunder would just tire out? Please. I'm not saying Kratos can't handle Thor at full power, I'm just saying the last boss fight with him was unsatisfying, the first one was good but we were hoping for more. Oh and Thor KILLED Kratos (even tho Kratos was holding back by a lot, so was Thor) I know death it's not a big deal for Kratos considering how many times he died, but still, kind of a big deal since Thor was the only one who managed to do that, you don't just kill the GOD OF WAR while his guard is down/lacking. He wouldn’t have done the same thing to thor as he did to heimdall. Kratos wanted heimdall dead because the Norns told kratos that heimdall would kill loki. also kratos doesn’t really want to fight thor he would rather ally with him and his daughter.
Thor wouldn't have gone down as easily. Unlike Heimdall who screamed 'stop' when he got his arm stabbed and pinned to the wall, Thor took many injuries to his stomach and would have kept going despite his hand being stabbed on the ground.

The after mentioned Serpent's breath is named Eitr, which in the first game was shown when he returned the Leviathan Axe and a message pops up stating 'Eitr imbuned.' More likely than not, the wound was infected by the poison delivered by the axe and thus quite possibly Thor was already dying to it and even had Odin not killed him, he probably would start showing signs of being sicklier before dying at some point.
It would be awesome if the third installment of this trilogy has a flashback scene of Kratos' first arrival in Norway and we get to play as young Kratos one last time.

I know why main story boss battle is easier than side quest boss encounter. The dev wouldn't want people to be stuck. But it always felt so weird that Baldur fight easier than Valkyrie, berserker fight more challenging than thor. . And new Valkyrie queen is tougher than Odin's.
I really really liked Thor❤ in the game but the fact that on this fight he wouldn’t let Kratos speak pissed me off so I showed no mercy at all and ended him in seconds👊
Maybe a young Kratos would've fell to Thor fr. Young Kratos giving jn to all of thors gas lighting. And leaving him open for powerful strikes from monjnjr. Thor lost his cool and forgot what made him win the first fight
So Kratos is strong enough to lift the Mjolnir, the only problem was Thor was in full control of it. Actually if you think about Kratos could weild the Mjolnir because he is son of Zeus who is the god of Thunder.
Mythological Mjolnir can be pulled by anyone with enought physical strenght to rival Thor,and Kratos surely got that. But probably Kratos would be worthy to lift even the MCU version.

Yea it’s crazy it only took me two tries to beat Odin on Give me on mercy. But it took like 15 to beat the double dreki encounter in the crater.
