He said we did not produce monuments in modern times, we have the remains of yesteryear's wonders to boast not of the immediate past of 200-300 years.
Reasons may be in hundreds for it not happening, fact is we are yet to produce our own influence in all aspects to ourselves and to the outers as well. It is a work in progress for us, I have definite hope we will do it for eternity, once we bridge our falling and failing fixtures in society and communities.

Generally I don't like Ram's views on life ....but this video views of Ram on Gandhi and English language super and simply bulldized me....hatsoff Ramu garu.

ఈ భాష విషయానికి వస్తే చాలా సున్నితమైన విషయం ఇది ఎవరు అర్థం చేసుకోలే మనిషికి భాషకు ఒక కనెక్టివిటీ ఉండాలి అది చాలా సూక్ష్మస్థాయిలో ఉంటుంది. ఎవ్వరికి అర్థం కాదు తెలుగు ఒక గొప్ప భాష దమ్ము ఉన్న భాష ఎవరు దీని నిర్లక్ష్యం చేయకూడదు

ఇంగ్లీష్ భాష ఖండాంతరాలు దాటి వచ్చింది కాబట్టి మనకు కొంచెం ఇమ్ ఫ్యాక్ట్ ఎక్కువగా ఉంది. హిందీ కంటే. అలాగే మన తెలుగుల ఖండ అంతరాలు దాటి అమెరికాలో బలపడితే అప్పుడు అమెరికా వాళ్లకు ఇంగ్లీష్ కంటే తెలుగే అద్భుతంగా ఉండవచ్చు

ఇతగాడు తెలుగు మధ్యమం పుస్తకాలు చదవలేదు అనుకుంటా. ఒక్క ఖగోళశాస్త్రం పుస్తకం. జీవశాస్త్రం. చరిత్ర పుస్తకాలు. అంతా ఎందుకు 30రోజుల్లో ఇంగ్లీష్ ఎలా నేర్చుకోవాలి అనే పుస్తకాలు చదివీ ఒక్కో పదం ఇంగ్లీష్ తో పోలిక చూసుకుంటూ చదివితే కచ్చితంగా చెపుతున్న తెలుగు ఎంతా మధురంగా ఉంటుందో ఊహించలేరు...rgv గారూ ఒకటీ మిస్స్ అయ్యారు. పుట్టిన బిడ్డను తల్లి ఎతుకుంటేనే ఆప్యాయత కలుగుతుంది. అలాగే rgv గారూ ఎక్కడో తెలుగు తో connection సరిగ్గా లేదు అందుకే తెలుగు మాధుర్యం తెలియటం లేదు
విద్య అంటే తెలియని కొత్త విషయం నేర్చుకోవడం . మాతృ భాష ఒక ప్రాంతానికి పరిమితం. తెలుగు మాతృభాష AP లో అందరు మాట్లాడతారు నేర్చుకోవాల్సిన పని ఏముంది ? అయినా నేర్చు కోవాలి మాట్లాడటమే కాదు చదవాలి రాయాలి. విద్య లక్ష్యాల్లో ముఖ్యమైనది ఉపాధి ఎవరి మానసిక స్థాయి తెలివితేటలు బట్టి వారు carrer లో ముందుకు దూసుకుపోతారు. గ్లోబల్ language అయిన ఇంగ్లీష్ తో మనకి connectivity ఉంది 200 years బ్రిటిష్ పరిపాలన తర్వాతనే ఇంగ్లీష్ చదువులు చదివి వారితో పోరాటం చేసాము. కూపస్థ మండుకం లా నేను తెలుగే నేర్చుకుంటాను దేనినైనా తెలుగులో చదువుతాను అంటే ప్రపంచ జ్ఞానం అందిపుచ్చుకోలేరు అక్కడే ఆగిపోతారు ఇక్కడ సమస్య ప్రభుత్వ స్కూల్స్ లో ఇంగ్లీష్ మీడియం గా పెడితే ఆకాశం తల క్రిందులు అయింది అన్నట్టు కొంతమంది కుటిల సంకుచిత స్వభావులు మాట్లాడుతున్నారు. మాతృభాష ని రక్షించాలి కాపాడాలి అని ఆందోళన లు చేసి ప్రవచనాలు చెప్పేదిఎవరికి? ముందు ఏ నీతి ప్రవచనం మాట్లాడిన ఇంటినుండి మొదలు పెట్టాలి. ఆచరణ లేని ప్రవచనాలు. వారిపిల్లల పిల్లలని ఇంగ్లీష్ మీడియం కాన్వెంట్స్ లో చదివిస్తారు ఇంకా అవకాశం ఉంటే ఇంటర్నేషనల్ స్టాండర్డ్స్ లేదంటే విదేశాల్లో చదువులు చెప్పిస్తారు. వారి ఉద్దేశ్యం పేదవాడి పిల్లాడికి exposure లభిస్తే మనకి పోటీ అవుతాడు తెలివి ఎవరి సొత్తుకాదు వజ్రం ఆణిముత్యం లాంటి genius లు సామాన్య పేద కుటుంబాల్లో పుడతారు. Schools లో వారికి exposure దొరకాలి లక్షలు కోట్లు పోసి ధనవంతుడు తన బిడ్డకి చదువు చెప్పిస్తే సామాన్యుని ఇంటిలో పుట్టిన అద్భుత ప్రతిభావంతుడు తన మేధస్సు తో సునాయసం గా అనేక విజయాలు నమోదు చేసికుంటాడు. భగవంతుడు మనిషికి ఇచ్చిన సహజ వరాలు తెలివి బలము అందము సంపాదించుకొనేది ధనము .దానితో సౌకర్యాలు

News paper print quality of english newspapers is more better than that of any indian regional language newspapers paper quality.
I have read wayback reason for this is, paper of high quality is subsidised heavily for english newspapers printing.
The government itself made us think less of ourselves, with these kinds of actions indirectly.
what about social bias? I've noticed that in many corporate companies, during meetings, people often start in English, then switch to Hindi after 3 minutes, come back to English after 5 minutes, and the cycle continues. But what if we replaced Hindi with Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Konkani, or Malayalam? Would everyone be equally accepting? Currently, Hindi seems widely accepted, but why aren't other languages equally accepted? It is better to go with a common language like English.
If you're gain win from your first language.universal winning give English.
Anchor should tell me why higher education books are not in Telugu or another Indian language? Why are we great Indians still hanging on that English language?
I think they describe in more detail about situation, physical aspects etc !,

దయచేసి సుష్మ తెలుగు సరళమైన తెలుగు రానీ వాళ్లతో నా తెలియని వాళ్ళతో నా ఇలాంటి ఇంటర్వ్యూలు చేయకండి సమాజానికి తప్పుడు సమాచారాన్ని చేరవేయ. ఏ భాషకు ఆ భాష గొప్ప తెలుగు భాష ఒక గొప్ప చరిత్ర ఉంది ఎన్నో వేల భాషలో ఇది స్వతంత్ర భాష. ఈ క్వాలిటీ చాలా తక్కువ భాషలో ఉంటాయి అవీ పదుల సంఖ్యలోనే ఉంటాయి
I appreciate RGV's views generally but dont agree with him here. Either he's making a different point or he didn't get what Swapna was asking.
If people in UK were Spanish speaking, wouldn't they have colonized most of the world and wouldnt most of the world be learning Spanish? If those first immigrants to US were the same Spanish speaking population, wouldn't the economic might of country translate to everyone speaking and learning Spanish? There would WAY more Spanish books everywhere and the culture, thought of the world would revolve around Spanish.
I think RGV should read "Guns, Germs, and Steel", and "Freakonomics".
I don't see any improvement in the quality of English teachers in India, so it is out of reach for the majority. If the mother tongue is not taught properly India is going to fall back. So this is just an academic exercise rather than a solution.
