- This video explains how to draw a cam profile in case of knife edge follower.
The out stroke is with simple harmonic motion (S.H.M.) and return stroke is also with simple harmonic motion (S.H.M.). displacement diagram is drawn accordingly.

Knife edge follower is the easier than other
haris arquam but knife edges are not used as much as the others due do excessive wear in one spot

Can I use the same method as shown in the video for the roller follower?
For displacement diagram , method is same .... But for cam profile you will need base circle , Pitch circle and method will be slightly different ....

Hi, you're lecture is clear and easy to understand. But, how about if I were given time (e.g: t = 15 sec) and there is no scale? Is the same method applied?
