Great insight from you Dr Joji Thomas. My only observation is that another circle with the min. radius should have been drawn so that the drawn curve will meet the circle at the last stage of the dwell.
A cam rotating clockwise at uniform speed of 300rpm operates with a radial reciprocating follower through a roller 1.5cm diameter. The follower motion is defined as below. i) Outward during 150° with UARM. ii) Dwell for next 30° iii) Return during next 120° with SHM. iv) Dwell for the remaining period. Stroke of the follower is 3cm. Minimum radius of cam is 3cm. Draw the cam profile.
Sir u taken different formula for SHM problem and different formula in knife edge problem to find maximum velocity and acceleration. Can we take same formula in both problems?
I have some really old winding machines that take heart shape cams one is .250, .230 and .186. I believe these numbers are the distance between the bobbins. Or winding area. can you help with a formula to make these?
For drawing cam profile, displacement diagram of rise and return only needed. You can even eliminate dwell at top also. Also you don't need to draw rise and return angles with some scale, you can take any arbitrary length for each.

How do we obtain length of 1' 2' 3' ...
Use divider and set distance 11' in displacement diagram and mark it in cam profile diagram. This way mark all other points.
But we are not given distance of 11'. Thanks

Dr sir displacement diagram is wrong where is the return dwell.... Actually angular displacement cam must be 360 degree

Cam profile you draw that is wrong
But u did not draw a prime circle
Only circle drawn is prime circle of radius 32.5 mm. It is clearly mentioned. Base circle not drawn as it is not required to draw profile in this case
